Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandBreakfast restaurant not open for meals at dinner. Lunch snacks after 2pm were very limited. Had some fries which came out cold.
Rooms and location were great. Breakfast options were good.

United KingdomThe swimming pool wasn’t open, the breakfast could have had more choice, the staff did not tell us about the rather good noodle restaurant which we came upon by chance. One of the staff followed us around a bit.

CanadaI think I definitely would not want to stay there again. The hotel is OLD. Rooms and facilities are old. We stayed there for four days, wifi connection is awful. Complained to the hotel, they initially told us they could move us to a different room, but never followed through.
Breakfast is not bad given the price is reasonable. The location is not far from major attractions

CanadaA few issues with our experience at this hotel. First off, check-in took way too long. Only one service staff was available at the counter when we checked in, and she was dealing with an issue with some other members so we were waiting almost half and hour to get checked in. We were tired and hungry after a long day of travelling and did not enjoy this check-in experience. We also were disappointed to find that the steam room and sauna were not open for use, and the service attendant informed us that they were not able to turn it on. The layout of the building was quite strange and inconvenient as well, requiring us to constantly switch elevators and loop around in order to get from our room to the main entryway and dining room. When we finally checked out the hotel and the charge came through my account, the value was different than what was quoted upon booking. I tried to contact the hotel via phone and email to clarify the reason, but I was not able to reach the hotel through either method (the phone number on the website was for the Singapore Pan Pacific for some reason, who was not able to transfer me over to the Suzhou hotel. And the email address bounced back). This was our first stay at a Pan Pacific and it did not leave a good impression on us.
Bed was comfortable, washroom had lots of counter space, convenient access to Pan Men and beautiful park. Koi pond had lots of gorgeous fish, and breakfast buffet is quite decent.

Chinathis is the 3rd time i have stayed at the hotel this summer: this time i stayed with two other families with children, but when we arrived the swimming pool was closed. This was the main reason we stayed here. The hotel was also very busy at check in, overwhelming the reception: lots of staff just standing around doing nothing and an overcrowded small lobby due to roadworks blocking the main entrance. Very poorly dealt with

United StatesPan Pacific Hotel is surrounded by massive road construction that makes walking, cycling, and driving to any of the nearby sites challenging and, at times, dangerous. The hotel is also renovating its main entrance and has shifted the lobby to one side of the building. Pan Pacific was crowded during my stay. The main pool was not big enough to accommodate adults and dozens of kids in the evenings. The breakfast room was so crowded during the weekend that a stranger joined my table while I was getting coffee. My room had a terrace that looked inviting through the window and in pictures. In reality it was uncomfortable. It was surrounded by high concrete walls with other rooms looking into the space.
The room was spacious with a cozy bed and large bathroom, including a tub. The desk offered an excellent area to work supported by reliable WiFi. Breakfast was plentiful. There is a wide variety of Chinese breakfast items, pastries, and fresh fruit. There is easy access to a nearby temple, pagoda, and gardens. The Grand Canal area is within walking distance.
