How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Modern stylish hotel The staff couldn't be more helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and the executive lounge also great . All the staff were good but Mark, the concierge was especially helpful to us

Good breakfast. Staff very nice. We really appreciate Mr Yin, the hotel manager, assisted in arranging a connecting room for us. The staff at concierge are all very nice and helpful.

The hottub and swimming pool werecold and made it unpleasent to spend time there. The hotel having a hottub was the reason I booked this hotel.
The breakfast had a large mix of food and it was yummy. Also all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Nothing much to do around the hotel at night. A small convenient stores are nearby though.
Perfect location if you want to stay in the new town. Subway station is a few meters away so very convenient to go anywhere. Breakfast was rich enough.

The range of food at breakfast was quite limited in comparison to other hotels.
Location and cleanliness of the hotel is perfect. It's about 10mins walk from Suzhou center and the hotel was so clean. Breakfast was delicious.

Maybe the shower in the bath room. It wasnt a seperate shower section installed on executive floor. Im very tall and the warer pipe wasnt long enough
Everything was perfect! Nice breakfast, location. I will come again.

Later opening times for the restaurant would have been preferred, given that it was in a hotel.
Excellent customer service. Beautiful hotel with a high standard. Clean and tidy throughout.

The room was too warm even with the AC on 'Cool' and set to 18 deg.
The location is perfect if you want to stay around Suzhou Center (Pants Building). Most restaurants, cafes, and bars are within walking distance.

buffet dinner was not consistently available and the food on the dinner menu wasn’t all that good
perfect location in Suzhou and the staff were extremely helpful - especially Sue at reservations and the two concierge guys good breakfast

All good so no complaints from this boy
I missed the breakfast but wow the staff in all locations, they were friendly and welcoming. Everything was done politely friendly and professionally. I will stay there again and be very happy to do so.

I left my electric razor in the hotel bathroom. I realised in the taxi after ten mins on the way to the airport. I visit every three weeks so I thought I’ll contact the hotel and my colleague could collect. I called many times within 10 mins of leaving on the Sunday to report it but no one answered, I also emailed the hotel and the response was they’d get back to me 9-6. I was ok as I trusted the brand. On the Monday my colleague called to ask and the staff were super rude to her saying no electric razor had been found. I was horrified as it was left there. Despite several requests nothing was found and even worse no member of management ever responded. I was offered a voucher which I rejected as I’d totally lost trust in this hotel and it’s management. Very poor

For some reasons, i could not adjust the Aircon temperature below 24 degrees in my room. During the day time room temperature was even as high as 25 or 26 degrees! Hence the room felt stuffy and uncomfortable and I did not have a good rest during my entire stay. Already feedback to the hotel which they said it is centralised cooling and they had no control over it. Apparently I stayed in Marriott Courtyard Shanghai and I faced exactly the same issue, so it is the problem with the Marriott/Courtyard Management. I am not sure why the temperature had been restricted to above 23 or 24 degrees, but there are certain people like myself who likes to sleep in temperatures of 20 or 21 degrees. I will avoid all hotels under the Marriott/Courtyard branding in future.
