The rooms are basic. They only gave us one small bottle of water each, and the kitchen closes early. We couldn't get any water in the evening, and they only gave us half a roll of toilet paper, which ran out quickly.

The hotel is small, but it's cozy and comfortable. If you're on the higher floors, you'll love the view. We stayed on the fourth floor and enjoyed seeing the mountains. The food is good, and the staff helped us get tickets to Zhanjiajie Park and drove us there.

Great location with an excellent view. Only 2 min drive to the South Gate (the owner drove us to the gate). Very friendly and helpful staff, they helped us with booking all the tickets, activities etc. Home made breakfast (included in price) and dinner if you want to (¥56 for two). Staff also helped us with the laundry (¥15).

Except for the location..other than this, everything is good. My advice is to stay 2 nights at Zhangjiajie Scenic Area for 2 nights and one night at the hotel near Tienmen Mountain. That will help to cut down all the travelling and also the travelling expenses. Please also note that those buses are running between the entrance gates at the parks stop at 6 pm. After that, to get back to the hotel, you need to take a cab, which is costly.

The room was comfy and clean. The lady owner was very helpful to guide us through the planning for the national park visitation. She also helped us to purchase the 4 days shuttle bus and entrance ticket. Since the hotel location was far from the gate entrance to the park. She helped to shuttle us to the bus station so that we could get the bus to the gate entrance.

Beware: you can’t enter the national forest park through the South Gate (which is the closest to the hotel). You have to take a taxi to the East Gate.

Beautiful place with a gorgeous view on the mountains. Staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. They booked us tickets for the National Forest Park and the glass bridge.

The breadfast items were limited and service is average. As the owner has no helper in the front desk, service attitude seems abrupt. Hotel prices are generally on the high side.

The location was a bit out of nowhere.

We stayed for three nights. It was colder than we expected but the room was warm and the bed had a heater. We were rain drenched on our first day while hiking. The bed warmer was really helpful. We also used their transport services numerous times, it was quite comfy. Homemade food was the best.

Staying at Mount View Cottage was the highlight of our trip! The room was beautiful and the host made our visit easy and memorable. The hotel is 2 min from the Zhangjiajie National Forest entry & a free drop off is provided. The host booked all our tickets, helped us plan our walks and organised all transportation (including to and from train station). Tianmen Mountain is accessible through a bus near the hotel. Meals cooked by local women are available for a reasonable price at the accommodation. We looked forward to dinner every night because it was so tasty. My wife is Chinese and says the meals taste like delicious home cooking. Maybe there are cheaper ways to visit Zhangjiajie, but this is the best way. Thank you so much for a great trip!

30min walk from the village with restaurants and shops (and park entrance), but it’s a quick and cheap didi ride! If you travel with a friend, be aware the bathrooms are milky glass doors may not give the highest level of privacy but it was ok.

Very beautiful boutique hotel. The owner was AMAZING without her tips we would have ended up at the main viewing points in the middle of the biggest crowd (on a saturday). The heated beds were so cozy! Kettle in the room to make tea or coffee if you bring some and the enjoy the stunning views from the room. Highly recommend.

We found it a little challenging to get around as it is closer to the national park but not as close to some other attractions or Zhangjiajie main town. They were very helpful in organising us transport and once we worked out how to use didi on alipay it made things a lot easier for us.

The room was big and clean with a brilliant large window view of the mountain. Rooftop terrace views are even better. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially considering we are English speaking and have limited mandarin. They went above and beyond, including dropping us at the national park. The food at the restaurant was also really good which was nice as it is tucked a little away from other options.

Great location, surrounded by breathtaking nature in close proximity to one of the entrances to the national park. Staff were extremely helpful, professional and nice. They took care of booking the different activities and arranged all transportation needed in an extremely efficient way. I loved my room, beautiful, cozy and with an amazing view. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region. Very grateful for everything. 🙏🏻

Unfortunately it's not the best choice for off peak stays, the room was extremely cold (bed warmer helped, but not nearly enough). No options around for dinner.

The owner was very helpful during our stay, she picked us up from train station as well as dropping us off to the park every day. Bed was large and very comfortable. Delicious noodles for breakfast.

The lady boss gave us free upgrade to a big room with great mountain view and the bed comes with heated blanket which is a plus..the breakfast is simple but good enough for us as the aunty cooked extra to our request which is not in their menu ...we paid for 1 delicious dinner there and is worth every penny.... yummy!

Nothing for me that wanted a country side experience that was perfect

The staff was exceptionally helpful and in particular Carol who helped me a lot she spent a lot of time to help me to plan my trip before my arrival ( call, message) the hotel booked me ticket private car for long distance with correct price, they sent someone pickup me to the airport, and everything is transparent they announce price before each action. The location is perfect you have chicken and dogs in the neighborhood that’s the perfect country side experience that I was looking for. You can go to the nation forest park by walking 20min of walk or they can drop you in the front. The food is so excellent I went to other restaurants but that was less tasty than food here. To conclude it was the best experience of my life and I was very impressed by the staff kindness
