The location is not the best, but manageable.

The staff were amazing. They have taken really good care of us. Especially the manager, he has showed us around, introduced the local culture, the history, the food and recommended where to visit. Patient and detail orientated. Love the touch of personal service! Thank you for making our trip so special!

A little but far from the city center.

The property is very beautiful, equipped with a swimming pool and everything we need! The staff is very nice, ready to help if needed. They lend you traditional outfits to make very nice photos. The family room is very nice and comfortable.

the area around the compound is a little abandoned, but therefore it is really quiet

exceptional place, lovely arranged collected items, very addicted staff, always there to help, feeling of coming home, great breakfast, little specials like traditional clothes for picture taking

Some bits need some renovation and the grounds are a little small if staying there a long time. The initial room we were in was above the check in desk so it wasn’t as peaceful at night, but after a few days we were able switch rooms, one with a balcony and some outside space. The hosts were very accommodating

The beds were very comfortable and the artistic style means there is always something to look at and appreciate. We were able to make lunch there and the host David tried to make us as comfortable as possible

Generous kind hosts helped us find vegetarian options, suggested fun things to do, even drove us to local restaurant to try delicious local cuisine. Loved how peaceful the tropical garden and common area were especially their tea room. Wonderful hot water for bath after a day of hiking in botanical garden is also a plus!

Apart from breakfast, there was no in-house restaurant service. The pool is not very large and often only filled to around waist-height, so no actual swimming is possible.

Breakfast was very well thought-out and delicious. A Philips coffee machine with decent cappuccino, espresso etc. was available. Rooms were individually and lovingly decorated with South Asian objets d'art. Bedding and towels were changed every day. The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We received personalized recommendations regarding things to see and pay attention to.

the hotel is very nice and totally gives the tropical vibes that one expects in Xishuangbanna. the owner is really kind and helpful in everything, from breakfast arrangement to organizing drivers and giving suggestions for places to see. the garden is relaxing and you’ll enjoy the palms and the pool! the rooms are big and clean, the bed is super comfortable and the property is very calm and relaxing!

David and the hotel staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. From David picking us up from and dropping us off at the airport, to the beautiful garden and pool area, to the delicious and abundant daily breakfast, our stay was exactly what we wanted. A boutique hotel hidden in a private garden, very quiet and private. The beds were great, as was the hot water and water pressure. An excellent value.

A few maintenance touch ups are needed - the shower over the bath is not ideal. Quite rickety and water all over the floor. No bath mat to clean up with and could be a bit dangerous as the bath is slippery.

A peaceful oasis in the middle of a chaotic city. very quiet with comfortable bed and pillows. Ice cold beers and airport/train station transfers were a nice touch.

Location is at the outskirts of town, to get into the city/entertainment district need to take a car.

beautifully arranged homestay with amazing decor and garden. very relaxing atmosphere.

The hotel is in a residential area and a considerable distance from the city centre - and getting taxi's can be difficult. Unlike in the description of the property there is no restaurant or bar on site. The pool is small and can only be used at certain times - when most guests are out doing daily activities. Breakfast was noodle soup, boiled eggs and sweetcorn - and id not seem to vary.
