How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Really practical for a long layover in Guangzhou, early check-in was great! Note: free shuttle pickup is at door 46 on the departures level at Baiyun International. You should arrange a pick up time with the hotel before you arrive or else you might need to call them from the airport.

Mosquitos in the bedroom, but the staff provided us with mosquito repellent. The room had an unpleasant odour.
The restaurant was nice. Location.

The location is very far from the city . By taxi it’s cost too much and by Metro it also need Atleast 1.5 hour to reach city from hotel . If hotel can also provide shuttle bus twice / thriis in a day service to city center instead of Metro will be more comfortable to guest .
Rooms are good . The best is 24 hours shuttle service from Airport to hotel without this it would be very difficult to reach hotel and link from city . Breakfast was good .

Would of loved for them to have travel cots for babies but not all that important just would of had a better sleep if I didn't have to worry about my son being rolled on
Staff were all lovely,hotel was spotless and room was just right so comfy, was not kept awake by planes which I was worried about, breakfast was catered for everyone ,all in all would stay again.

There was no fridge in the room. It could have been great with a refrigerator
The free Airport shuttle and the Canton Fair free shuttle were game changers. The staff where quite helpful all the time. they would make sure that whenever you require assistance they will assist.

The hotel is quite close to the airport so it can be quite noisy, so if you're a light sleeper this might be a problem
Location is close to the airport, less than 10 mins drive so convenient for an overnight stopover. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. Clean rooms and a good amount of amenities as well. Wi-fi seems to be pretty stable as well. The breakfast has a good amount of choice too and well stocked.

The rooms can do with some deep maintenance. It is quite surprising that staff in a hotel that advertises as an airport hotel for a large international airport only has very limited skills in any other language than the local.
This is a somewhat older hotel that still gives good value for money. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Nice staff who did their best to overcome their limited language skills. Shuttle was punctual, fast and easy to arrange (just go to the information desk in the arrivals hall).

Only downside was the b/fast. Was ok, nothing to rave about. Not really thinking about westerners might like for b/fast. Coffee machine was broken. you would think they would have a spare in one of the store rooms..certainly no plan b here. We asked the b/fast staff for a coffee sachet like they have in the rooms. But they just looked confused and were just like robots and could not think outside of the box..
What a pleasant surprise in finding the Ausotel as we previously had another hotel booked for our return journey back to London. On our 1st journey that said hotel was a disappointment as they had photos which were not accurate and the beds were like a cement slab. The Ausotel was great. Lovely big room and quiet as we were knackered after flying from Sydney..Would definitely stay again. bed was lovely too.

The balcony door was open when I entered the room. it was quite dark outside and balcony wasnt in a maintained condition. Shuttle bus driver could be more communicative as passengers are confused about which terminal to go for their flights.
Great value for money. Hotel room is clean and spacious, shower had good pressure. Breakfast was excellent! So many varieties and good flavours.

Nothing to eat nearby other than beef noodle shop attached to the hotel and the hotel restaurant.You can hear aircraft movement and there is potentially a mosquito problem.
Room was large with 2 beds in each room tha we booked (5 rooms ). We arrived late (10pm) and they offer some food free of charge (local cuisine)

The breakfast was over at 09.30, which is early. The staff would be more helpful if they could speak English fluently.
The room was very spacious and the balcony was nice! The location is perfect for transit passengers - it takes 5 minutes to get to the airport. Shuttle service was provided by the hotel.

The hotel is located near terminal 2 which is very convenient after a long flight with kids. Pick-up can be arranged from the information counter after leaving immigration and custom. The hotel restaurant is good and well priced. Staff was very helpful and they organised takeaway breakfast for my family as we needed to be in the airport before restaurant opened for breakfast.

As someone who does not speak the language/as an English speaker it was quite difficult to navigate etc even the shuttle bus times did not have an English alternate.
The location is very good and had ear plugs provided which I thought was a nice touch. Could barely hear the planes. Free shuttle also definitely makes it worth staying here for a layover flight.

It could be even better if the lights could be a little brighter
The room was spacious, clean, well set for the baby and close to the airport with free pickup bus. Check in was also easy and quick. I loved everything about it.
