Very staff and rooms

The only small negative relates to the air conditioning system that is switched off during winter and early spring. We found the room hot at night. The hotel opened our window and that helped, but it would be better to have the A/c working at all times. The front desk staff struggle with English and this can be a little frustrating if the person on duty has limited English.

The hotel is well designed and well appointed. The rooms are very comfortable and the layout works very well. I enjoyed the use of the gym and pool facilities. Breakfast is good and there are many choices to suit all tastes.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A guy name Alex did all that he could and a bit more to help. We must mention Mia. We left a mobile phone at a taxi. Mia located the founded, and guided her back to the hotel to bring the phone back. Without her help we were lost. Thank you Mia

The blanket on the bed was to thick for me 🙂

I like how the staff of the hotel was smiling all the time ,and all my wishes was possible to fulfill. I will definitely return to Kempinski Hotel Xiamen.

Depending on the staff it was sometimes difficult to communicate, not everyone speaks English, and therefore you need to look for the English speaking staff members.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was very helpful (especially Alexander). Wanted to support us as much as they could. Very comfortable room

The Paulaner Restaurant is a very bad joke. It was one of the reasons I book the hotel to have some kind of home feel to eat and drink Bavarian home style. But the pace is a -10 can believe Paulaner give the name for this.

The breakfast was very good the view from my room floor 20 was excellent. The location of the hotel is very good.

Front desk female staff that wear red uniform need more training with professional services such as welcoming. You cannot refuse to welcome people when three of you are just free. At that time, I have to turn to a black uniform lady for help. That scenario made that lady and me feel awkward straight away. It seems that there is no much we can do to adjust aircon temperature. To be more specific, even though you can increase up and down temperature on controller, it just does not work at all.

Breakfast is in a high standard. The room itself is just superb.

The stuff who speaks English can still work on their language skills, they didn’t understand everything, they could improve

The stuff was very nice and helpful, everything was clean. When I asked if I could use the microwave to reheat some food I didn’t want to waste they helped me with that, I really appreciate it.

It was a bit far from the train station. Usually we took a taxi and car to different places. The mattress was too soft. It was not easy to sleep on it.

The view was fantastic. The room was clean, cozy and comfy. I especially like the separation of the toilet and bathroom. It’s more convenient. Some free drinks and snacks were offered. Free water bottles were given every day.

Nothing, everything was great.

The location is very convenient, and has a stunning lake view. The staffs were really nice, especially Alexander He, Bart Li and Jack Zhang, they helped out a lot and provided professional services on all different aspects. We also had a buffet lunch and had a dinner in the Chinese restaurant, services were great and food from the Chinese restaurant was amazing, absolutely love it.

Lot of work going around the property. May be location may become better in future.. flooring and decors looks old. Like most other chinese hotels,changing money is expensive here also.

Restaurant. Helpful staff..it's a boon for travellers . The break fast spread is awesome. For Vegans and vegeterians food options. Even the chinese restaurant staff made some food vegeterian options for us. The European restaurant also very good.. staffs were really polite and helpful.

Great location next to the lake and subway station. Alex, the front desk manager always check on me and sent fruit to my room. The door men are all very helpful and friendly, help with ordering taxi for me. It’s wonderful to see the hotel manager always in the lobby to greet guests. Room service food is much better than other hotels, always fresh and hot. The room is clean and comfortable.

The view of the lake from the room was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious and contained many choices of foods and beverages. The hotel is located in a central location within the CBD.

Facilities - the pool was unexpectedly closed most of my stay. Bed - the old and extremely soft mattress was impossible to sleep on.

In non-smoking room the smell of smoke is unacceptable. Fine guests if no other way but keep non-smokers room free of smell!

Not my first time in this hotel. Found it excellent, like previously. Friendly, caring helpful staff simply make it my choice.

The room selled of cigarettes although it was a non-smoking room. Not nice. The staff did not speak English and the location is nad.
