We didn’t like the steep ramp to get to the house. However, overall it’s a great place to stay.

The room was quite moist (I don't know if this was because of Salento's humidity, or the fact that the room was in a basement). Towels wouldn't dry, clothes started to smell, and there was a bit of mold. But not sure this can be avoided.

The location is great: close to the main square but far enough away not to be bothered by any noise. The family that owns the place is super lovely and always willing to help. The room was decorated nicely, clean, and we even got some fresh towels on the third day.

The walls and floors are a little thin so you could hear people talking outside or in the other rooms. the private room is underneath the stairs so you could hear people walk up and down.

Ingrid and Hector were extremely nice and accommodating during our stay. Ingrid had a lot of information regarding activities in the area. The hostel is hidden in nature and very secluded from the center of Salento. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The private room is on the lower floor and has a beautiful view of nature.

The room was quite small and felt a bit damp, it was very hard to dry anything which is difficult as it rains a lot in Salento.

Lovely owner and staff who were helpful when our bus arrived really late from Medellin. The owner was helpful in sorting out our laundry and giving us advice on activities. The bed was comfy and the place is a few minutes walk from the main square. Good value for money and we ended up staying an extra night.

Room was a little damp because there was water leaking from under the sink but the family have assured us they are working on fixing it.

Everything! From the warm welcome we got as we landed, the beautiful house and gardens, the comfortable bed, the offers to help us explore the area, the cooking demonstration and the lovely family that runs the place this place is a fantastic find! The location is just off the main square perfect for exploring Salento or racing up the hill to get the early bus to Corcora! Do not miss this great place and definitely avail of the fabulous cooking lesson from Fernando! He's an excellent chef that taught us all about Colombian cuisine and gave us an opportunity to sample local food, while teaching us how to make a traditional Colombian dish with a few cocktails thrown in! Great fun!

Best house in Salento! Fernando is just sweet and available for anything… he likes chatting and entertaining. The house is located close to the forest and this creates the perfect peaceful environment. The bedrooms are wonderful and the property is 2 minutes from the main square and to anything else in Salento. Ask Fernando about tours that you wanna do (e.g Cocora, finca de cafe, walks by the river..), or cooking classes directly from him. Ciao Fernando, mil gracias por todo <3 Giulia y Leonardo

There is nothing specifically wrong with the place. But it needs to be precised that there is no windows in the room which make it quite smelly (a lot of humidity inside, none of our clothes could dry in 3 days). The room is downstairs which make it really dark and gives you a feeling of being trapped. Also, we couldnt pay by card, only Cash, which wasnt notified anywhere. So if you have cash and where planning of keeping it for all the beautiful excursions around the city it force you to go get cash out (and loose money because of the bad rate of the ATM)

Thin walls and no fans in the rooms. No outdoor sitting area.

Quite a quiet Hostel, maybe a busy one back in the day. However the town centre is nearby for more atmosphere. Also thin walls.

Was a bit tiring to get in/out as the entrance it's a bit of a hill. The room only had a window facing a corridor, so it wasn't well ventilated. Room could have been a bit cleaner. The room is not insulated, so you can hear if people is talking loudly around.

It was very quiet, so we were able to have a food sleep. It's close to the plaza and some nice restaurants and cafes. The staff was very nice and super helpful with tips and booking transport.
