Two of the pillows in the room needed fresh covers. But that is something that I did not even bother complaining to the hotel about as the rest made up for it and I just did not use them.

The staff were friendly and very welcoming and accommodating with my requests. The location was perfect with easy walking distance to the beach and parking for my car. When there is a shampoo and conditioner I always love giving a higher score! Thanks for the conditioner. I will use this hotel again in the future.

The room we reserved was not available on the first night we arrived there at 11 p.m. even though we were told ariiving that late was not a problem. So we were put into a musty and smelly room at the base floor of Casa Colors next door.We didn't know that that was not Avadia del Mar until we were having breakfast at Casa Colors and a guest who was staying there clarified. We were given an Avadia del Mar room at 10 a.m. after the sleepless hours we endured in the small, musty and dusty Casa Colors room. Two leaks in the bathroom made us very uncomfortable and they need to be solved for the next person there. The double bed for my wife and I was not spacious enough, a queen size would have been much more comfortable. The metal bed springs in the mattress were not good for someone like me who has back issues. In general, a room for guests should be properly checked before letting a guest stay in it. Little things like a soap holder in the shower would help as would a towel rack. There is one morror in the bath room but surely a mirror in the bedroom would help when we are dressing. There is no closet in the room, but in its place a clothes horse with hangers would have sufficed. But there was none and so our clothes were jumbled up on the impractical shelves and on the bed and the two chairs.

The breakfast was fine but basic. the location was fantastic. The beach is very good. We loved the water there. David and Yerli were always there to help to make us feel comfortable. David helped to organize a tour for us and was always ready to tell us what might be good to see or do. The kitchenette was very useful. And having breakfast brought up to the room was helpful.

Asked them to do my laundry but the laundry came back not completely dry. Asked them to tumble dry. They said yes and returned the clothes to me later but the clothes were not drier than before. The floor of the room was also quite dusty when I first arrived.

The noise. The room under the junior suite which i stayed in is being renovated/rebuilt. I woke up to drilling and banging with hammers every morning at around 8am. I dont understand why it is available to book in these circumstances.

Owners are super nice and friendly people. Something you can hardly find in Europe. Place is very clean, safe, right on the beach, just little hard if you have a car. Highly recommended to anyone!

Unfortunately, a lot of things went wrong: - asked for the transfer service from the airport and re-confirmed twice, but nobody showed up - once at the place, I had to wait about 20 minutes as the owner wasn't on site (apparently he had to buy medicines for his son, so maybe this was just an unfortunate coincidence) - the location is difficult to find for taxi drivers and is in a sketchy alley - I wasn't given any handsoap (let alone shower gel) - breakfast was supposed to be served from 7am, but I found nobody; I texted the owner and they brought it in my room, it was ok, nothing fancy (scrambled eggs in a couple of options, that's it)

The host family was lovely and tried to make up for what went wrong. For example, since apparently there were no restaurants nearby open at that time (9pm), they ordered a delivery for me. Internet worked fine for working. They bring you breakfast in the room. The terrace has a nice view.

David and his staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome at his place. We had the top floor room with ocean views and a balcony right on the beach front. There was a nice breakfast every morning and the room was always clean. The room is very spacious with a nice comfortable bed and big TV with netflix etc. The place is right on the beach front, close to supermarkets, bus stop, bars and cafes. Perfect stay
