How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The common area seems more like that it’s still in the making, I think that’s gonna be a great place if everything will be done one day :)
The beds were actually the most comfy beds we had during our whole Colombia trip! It’s literally double beds,mattress is so comfy, there is light and even USB in every box. Curtains for privacy.Nights were really quiet.Host is really friendly and helpful :) would definitely recommend if you want a good night sleep!

Everything was clean and great, the staff were very friendly. I was able to do my laundry there for a good price. There was heavy rain that leaked all over the floors of my room and I appreciate how they responded to this by giving me a new room.

I wish they had some sort of board or info area of what to do in the city or where to look. The hill to walk up to get there is annoying but not too bad.
Omg this place was wonderful! The beds were so big and comfy. I loved that I had some privacy with a cubby like bed with curtains. Everything is so new and pleasant. Go here if you want comfort, quiet, with some possibility to talk with others. I actually made great friends here.

The kitchen was small and unfortunately people didn't clean their utensils and there were a couple of dirty pans on the hob. The room was a bit small especially if there was more than 2 people in there.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked the outdoor area as it was communal and quite spacious. The rooms were clean with large lockers. Location was great as well.

Super confortable twin beds for one person, well located and amazing staff always avaible for helping. New utensils in the kitchen and great shower. I had such a wonderful time and I definitely recommend Banana Hostel!

All the beds are double so comfy and i dont want to wake up every morning. The kitchen are well equipped, all staffs are really responsive. I booked 2 days and eventually stayed more days there. If you need a quiet place like me, here just perfect for you

Huge beds, comfy mattress. Didn't get to use the kitchen but it had a lot of utensils, etc. Had a water station, free coffee and tea. There were 2 bathrooms for the whole place - I was there during low season, so it wasn't a problem at all for me. It was tricky for me to find the hostel since it didn't really have an obvious sign in front. I didn't go out at night- but during the day I felt safe walking around.

The only thing perhaps missing was a bit more life. As it is a new hostel I do understand that it might be quiet but it did feel a bit lonely at times. However as mentioned before, this is a great thing if you want to relax and have that peace and calm. So not necessarily a negative but the only thing I can think of which would elevate the hostel a bit more.
I loved this hostel, super fresh and moderna and the beds were so big, spacious, comfortable and private. Although it was a hostel and I shared room, it was so calm and peaceful. The location is perfect and close to many places. The staff were so nice and super helpful, even helped me to get a document printed out on top of allowed me to leave my luggage and hang around until 11pm as I had a night bus to catch. I am so happy with my stay and slept so well. This is perfect for someone who wants a breather anf calm for a few days. It's clean and the shower is also very nice and warm. Thank you Isabel and Ruben for your hospitality!

It was the first place when I first arrived in Bogotá. I had booked a bed in a dorm but because there was availability they upgraded me to a private room for free. What hospitality? The place is in the best location to enjoy Candelaria but also avoid the crowds. Clean, tidy with hot water and free coffee or tea the whole day. The kitchen also provides everything you need to prepare your meal. I would choose it again and again. Muchas gracias David!!

We were there 4 french friends and we can say that it's the best staff of Bogota, very friendly and always here to help. All the rooms are clean and well suited.
