Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe pillows provided absolutely no support for our heads. The windows of the room were very dirty. The views from the fifth floor we’re of a trash dump beside the property. The ground-level pool is partially shaded until 11 AM and again starting around 4 PM. The bartender was unfriendly and left piles of used cups and dishes in the middle of the service area on the bar.
Very clean inside. Beds are comfy.

Staff are exceptional and the General Manager has built up a formidable team of talent for her hotel The kitchen dining staff are impressive and go beyond the normal gold standard.

BahrainBiggest problem for me was the billing system, not only was it virtually impossible to keep track on your spending, due to delays with posting information to the system, for example a family meal which we had on the 26th December was posted on the 29th, and that was not the only charge, this happend on a regular basis. Additionally checking out was a long and draw out process, lucky I was leaving at 4am the following morning and decided to be proactive and finalize the checkout the night before. When the checkout was finally over, I was contacted an hour later to be advised there was a further small charge remaining to clear, due to a system update. It was slightly frustrating, however I take into account this hotel has only been open for 4 months and it is obvious they have some system bugs to iron out. Hopefully they will get these issues resolved very soon.
Standard branded hotel, however I have to point out the staff, they were extreamly attentive and happy to help on any request, from the security team, front office team, restaurant staff and house keeping, they all did there best to ensure I was always happy with everything, management team to be very proud of their staff.
