I got a private room with patio which was nice. The hostel location is also pretty nice and also has really nice rooftop with great view for sunsets. Pretty cozy and nice common space as well.

It’s a classic backpacking hostel so there wasn’t hot water and the staff were terrible. You need to be buzzed in by reception but one of the guys in staff preferred to flirt with the girls at the bar and left guests in the street for extended periods.

Classic social hostel for longterm travelers. Was fun to return to the pre-covid style of gathering and swapping stories in the hostel each night. The bed and overall sleeping situation in the private room was great.

Not all bathrooms had hot water ( I used the one by red counter), there was warm water. Noisy at night in the area (friday night - loud party in building across the road till 2 am), it feels like you are participating. Also, if you are not scheduled to sleep 11 pm - 8 am on weekdays, you will experience noise, loud conversations. Wi-Fi signal was weak in the room (at least by my bed).

The location is great, just in the historical city centre and close to everything. Very nice and friendly staff. Design of the area has special place in my heart. Nice room with personal light and outlet. Wi-fi in public areas was pretty good. You can order breakfast for $4 and pancakes were fire. Bathrooms are always clean, kitchen is well equipped. Coffee and tea any time is amazing. Fireplace is a centrepiece, smells of fire is giving vibe. There is bar with very fancy music.

People here were all really friendly with good vibes and would help you with everything you needed. Also, the hostel had a nice garden and terrace where you could chill. Definitely recommended:)

The hostel is very noisy in the evening (until 11PM) - don't forget your earplugs or prepare to party. I didn't like that we had to ring the bell to get inside the hostel - once we had to wait for 15 minutes outside the hostel until the staff answered our calls.

I loved the shared space. It was lovely to work there and I appreciated the free coffee. Also, loved both the yoga and salsa class! Breakfast was delicious and affordable, too. Overall, it's our best hostel experience so far.

I wish we had a locker for a small luggage. They only have a handbag sized locker.

Great place to stay as a female solo traveler. It's a cute small hostel full of common spaces where you can meet people. I made a lot of friends and the location is excelent and very safe.

I’d say it would be handy to have shampoo/ shower gel in the showers but that’s it!

I felt comfortable the moment I stepped in the door. It was so easy to meet people, and I felt incredibly safe as a solo traveler. The bed was so comfy, and I loved the rooftop. I never wanted to leave it, the view over Bogotá was perfect. Even though it rained when i was there the staff did everything to make it comfortable. Will be returning at the end of my trip and I’m so glad about it.

Relaxed hostel in old colonial house. Nice gardens, terrace and common spaces. In great location for restaurants, museums and just wandering around. Super friendly and helpful staff.

My second time here, amazing vibes and always clean. Many private bathrooms. The staff became quick friends as they’re young and helpful. Plants everywhere and a terrace overlooking the mountains that you can enjoy the sunshine on all day. Can’t recommend more

We only stayed one night but loved it here in this plant-filled hostel. The perfect place for our final night in Colombia - lively enough that we could have a drink after we got back from dinner but also not full of 18 year olds (this is a pro for us as we are double this age and prefer not to feel old whilst on holiday!). Loads of communal areas for chilling. Seemed to offer lots of activities like salsa etc. The private room had a nice little private outdoor area with table and chairs too.

I found Botánico Hostel a great hostel to stay! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hostel has cozy common areas where you can easily get to know other people. The family dinner on Friday night and the salsa class were also a success! The beds are comfortable, the showers are warm and you can grab coffee and tea. I can definitely recommend a stay at Botanico Hostel!

We had one hot shower and one cold, but probably it just took a long time for the water to warm up which I know is common in Bogota!

Botanico is perfectly located in the Candelaria, the beds are super comfy, you get a shower towel for free, the staff is absolutely amazing and the cherry on top is the wonderful rooftop terrace with a stunning view over Bogotá, where you can enjoy free coffee all day and the delicious breakfast made by the lovely Elbia & Linda.

Botánico hostel is a place where everyone is welcome. The employees are very friendly, the beds are comfy, the breakfast on the terrace is perfect, even more perfect after a yoga practice. Travelers become friends easily. It's just all really comfortable! I really love this place.

If you don’t like VERY communal living this isn’t the hostel for you! It’s quite small and has lots of people there which is great for socialising but might be quite intense if you want something a little quieter. However if you’re up for meeting people and making friends it’s perfect!

If you're sensitive to noise it might be too loud in the evening/at night because there is music and fun going on (sometimes until late but not more than 23:00/00:00). And if you're in the room in front of reception you might hear people chatting a bit or people checking in (24/7 open).

Very good atmosphere! Super friendly and accommodating staff. They organised transport from the airport and to the bus terminal. So many information about tours and a lot of programm you can join at the hostel: Yoga every morning (except Sunday) - thanks Carlos!, Salsa dance lession, family meal etc. Music, bar and bonfire every night. Cosy and nice gems to chill or have a chat with other travelers. Bookexchange, board games. The breakfast was delicious and for a more than fair price! Coffee and tea available all day. 5 bathrooms with shower (hot water!) which were cleaned every day at least 2 times (probably more). There was a hair dryer and you could ask for towels as well. The rooms are quite small but with comfy beds and good/warm blankets. Curtains, lockers, bedlights and plugs near bed. Thanks to everyone, it was so nice!
