I wished that there was a variety of coffees for breakfast and a larger selection of choices (i.e., different breads, yogurt, etc.). The hotel was beautifully restored but does not have an elevator and may be an issue for those with mobility problems.

Near the Parque de los Novios, with plenty of restaurants, stores, banks, etc, in the vicinity. My room had a terrace, it was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The AC worked great, and the TV had many channels.

The hotel was perfectly located to get around Santa Marta, the hotel is also quiet at night so the noise from busier streets near by doesn’t effect your sleep. The staff were also really friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful when booking trips to minca and tayrona. Also helped a lot with getting around Santa Marta. Breakfast was also good and the room was very comfortable. Roof top is also nice for a drink in the evening if you don’t fancy walking into town.

I didn’t like, that the “propina” was just included in the payment, without them asking/telling you about it. The door on the bathroom was not smart and was like always on the way. Also the balcony door was not able to lock… so, not so safe.

Marboré was nice, the staff is very friendly and helpful 😊 the Hotel location is good, the windows are double glazed so it was quiet at night! Breakfast was nice and the small swimming pool was refreshing after a hot day on the streets.

Just reconsider going to Santa Marta. Not the most exciting place but that is not the hotels fault.

Great little hotel in an excellent location on the edge of the lively tourist area and close to the beach. It is pretty quiet, given its proximity to the centre, my room had a balcony facing in to the courtyard, above the plunge pool. It was a great size, the bed comfy and good aircon. There's a rooftop bar and a jacuzzi. Both were quiet during my stay. The staff were amazing and very helpful when it came to organising trips and activities. I believe they speak English too. Overall, great value for money and a very enjoyable stay.

We booked for the rooftop jacuzzi, but what they call hot was never more than tepid. We want 39-40C, and were very disappointed. Otherwise, a nice place.

The toilet made a sound In 5 minutes every time you used it. You could only charge and use electricity by the minibar in the bathroom. The room was a bit small, but it was okay. Breakfast is very basic.

The only bad thing is that it can get loud in the evening because of the bars, and city noise (the neighbor blasted music at 5am for almost an hour). Bring good earplugs.

We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. The room was big, with tv and ACs and a patio. The bathroom were big and clean and the bed were very comfy. The breakfast includes 3 several options - coffee/the/hot chocolate and arepa/eggs/other option depending on the day, fruits, juice and yogurt. It was delicious! The people working at the reception (massive thanks to Lady!) we’re extremely polite and helpful. They gave us recommendation to visit Minca, Taganga and called safe taxi for us. The hotel is located in a quiet street despite being one street away from the center (parque de los novios, restaurantes, etc.)

It was an excellent location not far from the front and beaches and not far from shops and restaurants, the rooftop bar is very nice and the food and drinks are very good from the hotel, all the staff were very nice and friendly so it was 10/10 beautiful rooms

Leidy and her team were exceptional, really friendly and hospitable to the needs of me and my friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel represented very good value for money. My room was clean and reasonably sized.

The only criticism I have unfortunately is that the rooms are simply too hot, I didn't understand why they have a strange system where once you remove the hotel room key card out of the wall it automatically turns off the air-conditioning unit in your room and it becomes so hot it's very difficult to cool the room back down again as the air conditioning units were not very powerful or cold which was quite frustrating when you wanted to sleep in the night, Be warned Santa Marta is a very hot and tropical city so an good air conditioning unit is an absolute must I am afraid. The hotel certainly needs to improve this particular issue as a matter of importance.

Leidy was the most wonderful host and welcomed us with open arms. She was always happy to help us with any of our needs, gave us advice and tips on where to travel and visit whilst in Santa Marta such as the surrounding areas / tourist sites / activities. The hotel had a great artistic / rustic feel & look to it, I personally loved it, it felt like a home rather than a hotel. The rooftop bar was a huge bonus which had a good selection of very affordable drinks & cocktails. Very close to the Parque de los Novios área which is a must if staying in Santa Marta. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, I can't compliment them all enough, especially Leidy. If I visit Santa Marta in the future I will most definitely be staying here again because I love the hotel.
