This is a wonderful place to stay! I would recommend it to all my family and friends. Charlie and his family have a beautiful property. They are kind, welcoming, and very helpful with finding tours and places to visit. They have an amazing guide named Santos that can take you on the tours of pink dolphins or across the river to Peru for a hike in the forest. We stayed in a comfortable studio, and had breakfast and lunch cooked for us on site. It is a beautiful family environment, and you also have the privacy of the studio. Perfect place for a vacation!

The shower spilled water over the rest of the bathroom floor. A mop in the cabana would help.

Cabanas Dechi is a beautiful place to stay within walking distance of Puerto Narinho (1 km). The best about this stay is the host, Charlie. Although he doesn't speak English, we communicated well enough with my little Spanish. He organized wonderful trips for us during our 2 day stay. The highlight was undoubtedly the night walk in the jungle. We saw a lot of tarantulas, a poisonous frog, a poisonous salamander and lots of other interesting creatures. During a day trip in the jungle we saw sloths in the wild. That was very special. We also saw the pink dolphins on our river trip although just momentarily. They are very shy. Our cabana was very comfortable and we had a huge fan. The humidity in the Amazon is close to 98% which can be very uncomfortable. Despite that our cabana was nice and cool at night and we slept well. The bathroom is small and there is only cold water but in the Amazon you don't need hot water. The only negative is that the shower spilled water over into the rest of the bathroom and the floor was constantly wet and muddy. We wished that we had a mop and some rags to clean our bathroom after showering. Most places in the Amazon, even the very expensive eco lodges, does not have electricity 24 hours a day. Cabanas Dechi, however had 24 hour electricity and Charlie's rates are very good. The accommodation and the sightseeing trips are not expensive and if you are booked for a day trip, breakfast and lunch are also included. The breakfast is scrambled eggs, bread, fruit and hot chocolate and served on Charlie's own back porch. The one day we had lunch at his place when coming back from a jungle trip and the other day lunch at a local restaurant in the jungle was included. Charlie's friend collected us in a small boat from the port at Puerto Narinho upon arrival and took us about 300 meters along the river bank to where Cabanas Dechi was located.

Charlie and his family are just great hosts where you quickly feel at home. The chalets are very beautiful and practical with the air-permeable and mosquito-proof walls. I also took part in excursions offered by Charlie, which were very successful and inexpensive. So my 100 percent recommendation for Cabañas Dechi👍

What a wonderful stay at Cabañas Delhi! I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived, including the offer of breakfast at the property. The cabin is a short walk from town and so is lovely and peaceful. I so enjoyed reading my book in the hammock and watching the birds that came past. Would definitely recommend going to see the sloths and doing some bird watching while you are here.

Sadly there was no breakfast and not even a cup of coffee, this meant we needed to walk all the way to town (20mins back and 20 minutes forth = +40 mins) before even waking up. I expected a forest location but it's in between other houses, plots, a loud generator / pump that runs 24 hours. None of this was an issue since their plot is very green anway and everything looks beautiful.

The host was absolutely amazing and made you feel very welcome. It was near puerto narino and everything was still walkable. Always power and water and the cabin was really cute with hammock and all amenities you need. The palm trees and little lake looked very cute. Their house is amazing and the cabins even had a little fridge and a tiny tiny little terrace. Great value as well! We could pay with Revolut which was very nice. We even got a little goodbye gift.

Very authentic experience, jungle immersive feeling without actually having to camp (jungle glamping even!) Situated by a gorgeous little lake and surrounded by trees, if you love nature this is the place for you. Charlie is absolutely lovely, so kind and helpful and very knowledgeable about the Amazon and indigenous people and culture. Would love to go back and spend more time there.

The Cabanas are not in Puerto Narino itself (if that is where you are looking to stay); they are a little walk away. I enjoyed the walk as it allowed me the opportunity to see more of the community and local guides can also pick you up by boat from down the river bank if asked.

Charlie and his family were so warm and welcoming during my stay. The Cabanas provide a peaceful base for your stay and Charlie is happy to help arrange tours and translation services if required. The Cabanas added to the magic of my visit to the Amazon.

Perfect !

I feel very lucky to make decision on staying in Charlie’s hostel for 4 nights. Charlie is a very nice person. I feel he is truly nature lover and he has strong knowledge of everything in the forests. The room is very clean and the mosquito net makes me feel safe. Relaxing in the hammock after the day trip in afternoon and falling asleep in the surround nature sound at night. Charlie takes care all activities, I don’t need to worry anything but always have surprise about Amazon. I highly recommend staying in his place and join his day tours! I will miss his lovely family!!

An amazing stay! The cabins are simple but a lovely design with views of the big pond area and are kept very clean. We loved sitting on the decking, watching the birds fly around and the cayman swim. Charlie and his family were incredibly lovely, they welcomed us into their home. We learnt a lot about the local area. Charlie arranged trips for us to a local lake, an area to see sloths and a 4 days in the jungle. All were fantastic and very reasonably priced. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

Wow! This was a magical and truly authentic experience in the Amazon! Charlie and his wife welcomed us into their family home and were extremely accommodating with helping arrange our boat ride and tours. They also cooked us a couple of delicious breakfasts with the most amazing hot chocolate! We loved the tours we went on with Charlie and with his tour guide- the night hike was a highlight for sure! The accommodation was great, a true authentic experience in the jungle on the families property. We especially loved their dogs who were always there to greet us! Puerto Narino itself is a magical place, we felt very safe and everyone couldn’t have been more friendly. A beautiful community of people in a beautiful part of the Amazon.

The main thing I didn't like was that I couldn't extend my stay for two more nights! Both cabins were booked and I had to move to somewhere more expensive and less comfortable! There are a couple of inaccuracies in the description, which the owners are trying to fix on the website. Note that each cabin has only one bedroom and the kitchen facilities are shared with the family. The property is developing, however, with another cabin with kitchen under construction, and ideas for an outdoor kitchen area. Watch this space!

The location is fantastic. Far enough from the town to be away from any noise and bustle but not too far to walk. The cabins themselves are by a small lake with views and sounds of all the nature around. My cabin was spotlessly clean when I arrived, the bed was comfortable and the mosquito netting did its job perfectly. And the host family, who live in the main house at the entrance to the property, are lovely people, right down to the small children, who were noticeably polite.

Very good calm location (1km to city center, but its ok for us and our 5 years old daughter). One double bed and one single bed. Very good fan, fridge, private bathroom and shower. The owner took us to tours and very very good price. Recomend 100 proc. Very nice place to stay with family (the owner has three yung children). Location very safe.
