Beautiful grounds. Nice swimming pool. Friendly helpful staff. Tasty breakfast. Air conditioning worked well. 2 minute walk to a local supermarket and a square with lots of bars and restaurants mostly full of locals rather than tourists. Very safe location.

FranceEverything was perfect. Room was clean and with all the services needed , TV had YouTube, amazon and netflix on top of star plus. Hammacs and garden area are so relaxing and swimming pool is fantastic. Breakfast was excellent and lot of choice There is a kitchen that can be used by the hosts to cook their own food which make the experience even better Self service bar is at disposal of the guests , just need to note what you are taking and will pay at checkout

United KingdomHard to think of anything apart from the slightly out-of-centre location. There weren't many good restaurants within walking distance.
We stayed in a lot of places in Colombia - this was probably my favourite. Yes, it's a bit away from the centre of Santa Marta, but we stayed here before and after the Lost City trek and it was perfect. There's a central area full of palm trees, a good swimming pool next to which you have a great breakfast, the price is very reasonable, the staff are friendly, there's air-conditioning and - wait for it - hot water in the showers! Stepping out of the hotel room in each morning was a treat. Tip for lost city walkers: we gave the hotel a bag of dirty washing at about 5pm and it was ready by 10am next morning.

United StatesThe location to the hotel was just okay. There was a little lively square nearby with a few fast food and street food options, but to get to the main area of Santa Marta you need to take a taxi.
This hotel had beautiful common spaces. the courtyard is full of lush plants and little nooks to hangout in. The breakfasts were good and the staff were very friendly and professional. it’s a very cute hotel and good value.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Clean rooms and hot water was always available. Authentic breakfast was very nice also. I didn't get in the pool but it looked very clean at all times. They have a dog around the place as well and she is so gorgeous and friendly it makes the place feel so welcoming

Everything about Hotel Camali was wonderful. You can tell this hotel is ran by people who actually care about others. It is such a lovely experience. Truly an oasis in Santa Marta. Every aspect of our stay was incredible. From the delicious breakfast, to the lovely pool, to the hammocks everywhere.
