We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaA nice hotel like this should have free coffee available throughout the day. Easier to get work done if you are working online in the room all day. doors do not block much sound. if someone else on your floor is watching a movie loud at night, you can hear it clearly.
AirCon works great. Hot shower. Soft bed. Fast WIFI (50-100 down, 20+upload) actually fast enough for me to work online. good breakfast. comfortable all around. almost zero street noise heard in the room

CanadaI only stay one day because the air conditioner wasn’t working properly and I ask them to fix it and they said they did fix it but when I got back in the room was still not working properly I asked the to just give me back the difference because I still had 2 more days but they refused. So I left the facility I hope they get better customers service and understand that we want to be comfortable when we travel

United KingdomBE WARNED: your reservation is not safe. We reserved this hotel in 2023 for carnival in February 2024 to ensure we had accommodation. In January, we started to get notifications saying our credit card had been declined. This began happening several times a week, each giving 24hrs to update the card to avoid the reservation being cancelled. We updated within the timeframe each time, with different cards. Also contacted card issuers who confirmed 1) they hadn't declined any chatges 2) there were finds available 3)the card could be used for international payments. Still, the hotel kept saying the card could not be charged. I contacted the hotel to enquire about other payment methods, especially as their page says bank transfers should be made and they'd provide details (but had not), and they told me to communicate with booking.com Booking.com contacted the accommodation and requested a payment link, bank transfer details or an alternate suggestion. The hotel never replied to them. Circa 2 weeks before the booking, the hotel cancelled the reservation then relisted the room at TRIPLE the price. Card details had been provided within every time frame and they had ignored all attempts of communication from myself and booking.com. I was also left without accommodation very close to event dates. I have been made aware of a review on another review platform in which the same thing happened to another person over the same dates, so this is clearly standard practice for them. An appalling way to treat people, and shows very little respect for customers.

NetherlandsHotel works with untrustworthy company for carnival tickets. They lie about avaliability, take you somewhere in a taxi and then try to overcharge you. The breakfast is overly greasy, the whole breakfast process is chaotic and involves lot of waiting. For the staff it is apperently very difficult to adhere to dietary restrictions of quests. Quality/price wise the room is far under level.

United StatesFilthy, super basic, didn't have the promised water and bathroom kit, I will never stay there again, I was not expecting a palace but that to was dirty, the cup in the bathroom, for water or water drinking, was nasty, the bed sheets are pretty much not changed from one guest to the other, that was smelly. On another subject the water pressure on the sink and the shower is very poor. Also, we reserved a room for 2 (two) people and they give only one to well, we had to call for an extra Howell, which i think it was the dog's towel. And the air conditioning,,, OMG, was like having a fan that never refreshes you And on Top of everything this is the first time we have to wait for the guy at the reception to go and take a tour to the room when we were checking out and our cab was already waiting and he has an attitude because I'm desperate to leave as my cab is waiting for his 10 minutes tour to the room if we stole or broke anything on that filthy and super basic room. NEVER AGAIN!!
