Casa dos Almas is simply a magical place, a peaceful accommodation located in front of the sea on Mendihuaca beach. We stayed in a double room with a sea view located on the second floor. If we could describe our room in one word, it would be cozy. Everything was very clean, tidy, and beautiful, with a spectacular view of the sea under the shade of an almond tree. The bed and bathroom were very comfortable, and the room had a fan (air conditioning is not needed with the sea breeze). The accommodation has very comfortable and pleasant common areas. We had the option of breakfast included, but we opted for the "Napolitan eggs," which were very delicious. Thanks to Maria and Ela for everything, very friendly staff. Joseph has been one of the best hosts we have met, making our experience much more enjoyable, always attentive and kind. He instructed us very well about the place, helped us with everything we needed, and guided us on some activities like the Cacao Tour; he knows a lot about the area and told us about the culture and biodiversity. Probably many have not heard about Mendihuaca beach; it is a recent destination for tourists but offers tranquility and spectacular landscapes, located a few kilometers from Tayrona National Park and with easy access to the city of Santa Marta and nearby places of interest like the Sierra Nevada, Palomino, and other beaches. There are various activities available such as kayaking, surfing lessons, massages, among others, and transportation to other areas of the region is easy through moto-taxis. The local cuisine is not very extensive but offers more than enough delicious options, with Humbe as a recommendation, though all the restaurants we tried were delicious. We highly recommend this place for those who want to spend some time disconnecting and relaxing.

We had a wonderful time at Casa dos almas. The staff are warm and welcoming, and they help us to plan local tours to enjoy the area. The room was cozy and clean. Waking up with the sound of waves is unforgettable. Thank you for the amazing breakfast!

Only thing for me was the size of the bed I am 180cm and beds were on smaller size, it’s standard Colombian size, but might be to smaller size compared to Europe. Overall it was a great experience.

The location is great, right at the beach, and mangrove forest right behind the house. There are good food options near by and bar next door. There is no shoes policy which keeps the place clean, but also gives you natural, comfortable and cozy feeling. It is decorated tastefully, with a lot of natural material, beautiful forest view, and sea breeze. Have in mind if you are coming from Europe or elsewhere the 110V plugs, the place has just enough infrastructure to feel comfortable, but be mindful it’s in nature. Setting is beautiful with river and the ocean, and staff was really helpful about where to eat, helping us arrange the transport from the airport, and we were pretty demanding guests. Also there have 3 adorable kitties in the house.

The stay at Dos Almas, was beyond excellent. We went with our 1 year old baby and we felt like visiting family. Javier and the rest of the staff were super helpful and very kind. They had a good chat and an excellent breakfast, very healthy. Our room had a direct view to the sea and the hotel is very close to the Mendihuaca river, for children this is a plus! so the can have a safe splash. They recommended the best restaurants and some places to visit. Many thanks guys for this unforgettable stay in Santa Marta, we hope to see you again! abrazos desde Londres!

There is no hot water althought it's the same in every hotel in the coast and really not big issue with that weather.

Fantastic "Casa" where you feel at home, just steps from the ocean in beautiful Mendihuaca beach. Constious architecture, full of details, amazing vibe, great breakfast. The team went far and beyond to accomodate my needs of food and transportation, and I they helped me to organize tubing in the nearby river that was a highlight of my trip. I'll be back for sure with friends or family. Gracias por todo!

Casa Dos Almas is a beautifully constructed modern beachfront guesthouse with tasteful minimalist interior design, clean cozy rooms and a huge rooftop terrasse (very suitable for sunrise yoga sessions). Muchissimas gracias to Iris, the host, who sweetened our unforgettable stay with her warm and welcome nature, her hospitality and all the tips and recommendations on traveling all along the Colombian caribbean coast.

What isn't to like?

Beautifully and tastefully decorated with lovely stained wooden walls and a large balcony with a hammock for those lazy afternoons where walking the 10 feet to the spectacular beach just seems like too far to walk. Excellent fans keep the room cool and the beds are very firm but super comfortable. Great rainfall showers have only cold water but trust me, that's what you crave in the heat. Toiletries are supplied along with good towels. Hostess Iris is the greatest, full of smiles, great information and eager to make sure your stay is truly special, which mine was. Things will only get better as they become more established. Iris already has big plans to add more facilities like massage and yoga. There were a couple of minor issues since the place is brand new but they were promptly and graciously handled. Finally the location is superb on the beach of your dreams with great restaurants and bars close by. Say hi to the great folks at Pepe's for me. Plus they have fostered 3 5 week old kittens after their mother died. Trust me, just stay there. You can thank me later
