We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

GermanyWould be nice to have a smart TV, which you could connect your phone to, but this is complaining on very high level and should not influence the decision to book this fantastic hotel! Just leave the TV off and enjoy the tranquility!
A hidden gem! Family owned hotel with a really amazing host. He will make every wish possible, you can be sure about! His positive energy is just contagious. Super clean rooms and facilities, amazing jacuzzi! Fantastic workmanship of the hole property, unseen so far in Colombia! It even has art in the rooms! Reminds me of my grandparents place and just feels like home!

AustraliaWe had the 2 bedroom apartment which in reality is 2 separate rooms joined by an outside balcony that has been converted into a makeshift inside passage connecting the rooms. Unfortunately on the second night this passage room leaked where the roof has been extended. Our baby daughter sleeping here in a cot got a bit wet which was disappointing. So despite the hotel being a good place to stay, I would avoid the 2 bedroom apartment unless you are happy with 2 rooms separated by an outside balcony or the issue is rectified.
It's a nice hotel with great character in a good location just outside the main town but close enough to walk. The staff are attentive and welcoming. The room was reasonably comfortable. I can definitely recommend staying at the hotel when visiting Villa De Leyva.
