The room was very near the road so was noisy, from bars, motorcycles and people walking passed, especially at the weekend

We stayed in an upper floor room, with half walls which allowed a nice breeze into the room. The gardens were well maintained with a small plunge pool.

The garden and facilities at this hostel are all beautiful. The room has an outdoor bathroom so you can shower under the stars! It was very clean and there was free water and a delicious breakfast for a fair price. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel very comfortable, helping you with whatever you need. The location is perfect, right off the main street and only a few minutes walk to the beach.

You can only pay cash (unless you have a French bank account) and there's no ATM in Palomino so that's a real pain - I had to get a taxi to the next town to get cash and you can only get £100 out each time so it could work out quite expensive with the fees. I stayed at two other places in Palomino and both accepted card payments, I'm not sure why Chez Oliv doesn't.

The rooms are set in a beautiful garden with lots of places to chill out in. It is off the tourist strip but very close - you get the convenience without the noise. The pool area is lovely and there are lots of birds living there too. The shared kitchen is a great addition. There is no sound proofing between the rooms but they are spread out and everyone staying there was very quiet and respectful.

The mattresses on the beds were quite hard and uncomfortable, making it a bit difficult to sleep. However it didn't impact our enjoyment of the place itself.

Beautiful setting - there is an amazing garden with loads of wildlife. Nice private bungalow with outdoor bathroom. Everything was very clean and towels were provided. Bed had a mosquito net. Well located in Palomino, short walk to all bars/restaurants/beach etc. Would really recommend staying here.

Very basic room especially the bathroom., very noisy, since there are no real walls that separate you from the nighttime rooms. You can hear every word and sound from the neighbours.

Very basic, but well located hostel. Walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. Nice staff. Good value for the money.

Very nice place hidden in a beautifull garden full of flowers and birds. People taking care of the place are so nice. It is a quiet location half way from the beach and the center. we loved it.

Amazing oasis of tranquility in the middle of Palomino. Very well located with a somptuosité garden and very white bedrooms, we could not expect a better place to stay in Palomino. Most of everything, The manager of the place was fantastic. From the beginning till the end, he took incredible care of us. Helping with all our questions and our needs. Always responsive, friendly and very welcoming. We really felt at home there

Chez Oliv is perfectly located between the pueblo and the beach. The house is very nice designed with natural materials. You can watch bats and birds from the hammocks. The kitchen is clean and very good equipped. The garden and the pool are perfectly to relax. The lovely family in charge made our stay even more pleasant.

At first I was worried that the rooms are “open” towards the ceiling, but actually noise was never an issue.

Jeison and Mildred were incredibly kind and helpful hosts. The place is very quiet even though it’s also central. There were a lot of places to chill, including by the pool and in hammocks, which allows you to enjoy all the wildlife (many iguanas in trees). The breakfast was lovely and you always had access to coffee and water. My bungalow hat everything it needed and I thought it looked very nice. This place was a little slice of heaven for me!

As all the walls are just a mix of bamboo and various wood there is no sound barrier. This is not a party place (which makes it great) but if you tend to make some noise this is not your spot.

The property was beautiful and peaceful. you feel very far away from the parties of Palomino but you are actually centrally located to everything. The breakfast was delicious and the showers in each room are outdoors so you can enjoy showering under the palms or the stars. The hostel is very clean and they have hooks to hang towels and wet swim suits! (a rare find). the pool is lovely though more for refreshing than playing. It’s a unique little place, definitely worth the stay!

Make sure you take insect repellent.Plenty of mosquitos and ants but that is the same everywhere in palomino.

The accommodation was beautiful and amazingly clean. The garden was like a little nature reserve with humming birds,camelions and red squirrels.

We arrived at this property and we were given a warm welcome by the staff, they were so lovely and friendly - the location is perfect and it is nice and quiet in the hostel away from any outside noise l. we spent most of our time chilling out there and cooked as they have shared kitchen - it’s very clean!!! The staff Jason and Mildred made our stay especially with there young boy they made us feel welcome and as part of the family. I would definitely recommend this place if your in palomino. We felt very safe here and comfortable.

Staff could be a little more friendly, when we arrived they just looked at us and didn't come to help untill we went up and asked them for our check in.

Beautiful place with a great room, overlooking the property between a lot of green. The pool is lovely and the whole place is quiet, while still very close to the beach and restaurants. We would have stayed longer if it wasn't fully booked.
