We ate dinner in the restaurant the first night, and the food was really disappointing compared to what we paid. Maybe we were unlucky, I don’t know. The location is in the end of the main road but if you enjoy walking (15-20min to town) I would recommend this place! And the noise from the main road isn’t noticeable in the bedroom.

For what we paid, a perfect stay! Comfortable rooms, great pool and really friendly people working here. An okay breakfast as well!

The only negative thing I can say is that they could be making better use of some of the common spaces on the property. They have this awesome lounge area that isn’t comfortable to hang out at because the cushions are full of tree droppings and there’s no shade. A lot of potential there. The hammocks they have are great but only located by the dining area. Where soft music is played all day. With a little work they would have some awesome hangout spots. For now they are slightly below average. Except at the pool. Pool area is awesome. And everything else was awesome.

We loved staying here. It is on the main road but it is still peaceful and relaxing. It is more like a hotel than a hostal. The room was big and comfortable. There were hangers and space to hang your clothes. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the staff were so nice. The owner was very kind and did everything she could to make our stay more enjoyable.

The hostel is a little far out (but we generally didn't mind to get the walk in) There was a bit of noise from traffic in the common areas but it really didn't bother us much.

We had a lovely stay here! The pool was wonderful and we spent a lot of time lounging on the chairs and hammocks. The room was exceptionally clean and we were so grateful to have AC! Breakfast was delish every morning and the staff were kind. The food at the restaurant was really good and affordable. Overall great value for money.

It’s a very relaxed place, boutique hotel vibes more than a hostel so you’ll probably need to go to the Main Street to meet other travellers. The price and quality is so worth it though!

Really friendly staff, nice big rooms cleaned daily and with a private patio area to relax on. The pool was refreshing and restaurant was great and very reasonably priced. And the free breakfast was delicious with a different dish every day! Honestly the best place we’ve stayed in our 4 months travelling, wish we were here longer it feels like home!

A little bit outside the town but we didn't mind the walk and peacefulness.

Outstanding hostel. We were very happy with our stay and extended in addition to what we planned. Very friendly staff who were extremely helpful and friendly. Great breakfast which is different each day. Spotlessly clean rooms which were very comfortable. We spent most of our time in the hostel only to venture out a couple times a day. It has everything you would need and also a fantastic restaurant for lunch and dinner. Thanks to them for our staff.

The travel down to the beach gets a bit long after the first few days of going back and forth in the heat. I'd recommend walking to the first turn then getting a moto taxi, they're very affordable.

The pool, food, and relaxed ambiance were great. Claudia is a gem. And so is the rest of the staff including Max! Christmas dinner was gourmet and all the meals were excellent. Be sure to order food!

We loved everything, the only (tiny) things we would change would be shade over the pool as the water gets very warm, and the use of warm water in the shower (they do have the option for this in some of their rooms but you have to pay an additional charge), still a 10/10 hostel!

This hostel really was as good as all the other reviews said it would be! Hostel looks more like a hotel and has the service to match. The food at their restaurant was really good, the free breakfast changes everyday and was always delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive and always happy to help. The rooms are nice and pool area was lovely. We extended our stay and would definitely stay again in future.

When we paid our bill at the end, which included all of our restaurant bills they had added their own tip after we signed each bill. We would have happily added a tip but just that it was added without asking was a little unusual.

We had a lovely stay here, rooms were clean and comfortable with a private bathroom and private outdoor patio/seating area. The pool was clean and great to have to cool down, as well as other covered outdoor seating areas and a pool table for evenings. The free breakfast was amazing and varied each day. The other restaurant food was alas amazing and would highly recommend eating here! All of the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Color Hostel is a perfect spot to relax in Palomino. The staff are wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The free daily breakfast is delicious. The room is clean and comfortable. It’s incredible value for money, luxury on a budget!

We booked for 3 nights and ended up extending our stay another 3 nights because we loved it so much. This place is great if you just want to relax. There's a lovely outdoor area with hammocks and places to sit, and a great pool area. The breakfast is delicious and something different every day. The personnel was also very helpful and kind. If you are a solo traveller looking to socialize, it's not the best fit, but for us, a couple looking to relax after some busy weeks, it was perfect, away from the louder commotion in the center. It's a couple of minutes walk to the center in case you mind that.

The bed was a bit hard.

This is a tranquil gem in Palomino. It is about a ten minute walk up the road from the main drag of all the restaurants and shops leading down to the beach but it is nice that the place is away from the parties when you want to relax. The pool and terrace are nice. The room was clean and spacious with a little terrace right off the room. The wifi was good and consistent. I liked the breakfast and it was a different option each day. The staff were all really kind and eager to help and make your stay the best experience.

This place is INCREDIBLE. The friendly, attentive staff provide the most amazing service. The value for money is insane. Our room was spacious, clean (cleaned daily), and the outside areas were gorgeous. Even though you’re on the main road you don’t feel it when you’re sitting around the lovely pool, surrounded by nature. The restaurant is so gorgeous - and the food is outstanding. The best food we’ve had in Colombia for sure. Absolutely loved our whole experience - Thankyou Claudia and team.

Nothing much that we didn't like. It's little far from beach, so that might be problem for someone.

Staff amazing, especially Claudia managed us some good trips. Don't be afraid to ask anything. Garden area is really beautiful. There is not that many rooms, so it was really peaceful to chill by the pool. Restaurant was good. Breakfast changed every morning, and didn't disappoint in any morning. Restaurant not expensive at all. They cleaned room everyday. All the areas were clean every day.

Absolutely nothing!

There are not enough words to describe how amazing our stay was in Color Hostel. I was quite sick with food poisoning when we arrived and Claudia went above and beyond to help me. She made me my own soup and was always checking in on us or recommending things to help me. The food here is absolutely incredible. We ate every single meal here and it was always absolutely delicious. The pool is really nice and our room was huge. It’s so peaceful here but only a 5 minute walk to the Main Street and a 10 min walk to the beach. All of the staff are so so kind and helpful. We extended our stay multiple times and we were gutted when we finally had to leave.

- Breakfast was okay (7.5/10), but I am not a fan of fried stuff in the morning (but that is a personal preference) - The hostel was a bit far from the Carrera 6, so a bit of walking is needed to get to the centre (but it was calm in the evening for that very reason) - wifi wasn't very stable

- Even with the location by the main road, the rooms were very quiet - We didn't need to use the AC, the ceiling fan was sufficient to keep the temperature within reasonable range for sleeping - Great value for money
