How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bartenders and some of the staff at the restaurant weren't very polite. And you only get one jar of drinking water per day, the rest you have to buy.
The atmosphere was amazing. There are activities and music everyday, you are never bored. The restaurant was very good with fair prices.

The cleanliness (at least in the 10-bed dorm) was not really good. Of course could depend on the people that are using the room but when I arrived back after check in time my bed wasn’t ready, sheets not changed and actually the room in general didn’t look like it gets well cleaned once a day. The water was always cold. Also because the hostel is quite huge it is kind of difficult to interact with other travelers. It feels kind of like a hotel and I felt like there are more groups. All in all good, but for solo travelling maybe not the best option.
The pool area, restaurant opportunity, beds were quite comfy and spacious. The staff was super nice and friendly!

I read this in another review so I had expected it…But there weren’t too many English speaking people around which made it hard to engage with any of the activities that the hostel offered and really meet people. They don’t have hand soap in the bathrooms in the dorms which would be nice. Also one bathroom in a 10 bed dorm with little to no ventilation so sometimes that wasn’t the most pleasant.
I LOVED my stay here! Wish I could have stayed longer! The dorms were super comfortable and the beds were very spacious. The pool area was amazing, always a spot to sit at any point during the day! The food was good and lots of options to choose from! Same as the bar! And super close to the beach. They were constantly cleaning the dorms which was appreciated and even around the pool area. The staff were helpful with any questions that I had! I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to relax and chill

Children, a couple of families arrived and they took over the place with their scream brats.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm friendly smiles. The property was clean and spacious with great food options.

I really like this hostel. All the beds have curtains and everyone has a locker. The staff is unbelievable friendly, they always help you out.

No information regarding the lack of hot water (there is no hot water in the dorms). Kitchen is miserable, there’s almost no utensils to use and the ones available are very very old and in bad condition. Not even one kettle working. A hairdryer was requested to be used (I was available to leave a deposit) but there wasn’t.
Good location, close to the Main Street by the beach. Great living area. Decent food at decent prices. Dorms are comfortable. Very quiet during night. Staff is also nice.

The outside area is very beautiful and the pool area looks great. From the afternoons on there was always a very vivid atmosphere with a lot of party vibes. We had a lot of fun and got together with other guests. The private rooms are luxurious and the staff was incredibly friendly.

No hot water from the shower.
The hostel has great common areas with a pool, billiard and a ping-pong table. Beds were comfy and offer good space. They have good food for additional cost, pizza is great.

This place is amazing!!! It honestly feels like a hotel with a price of a hostel. Rooms were cleaned every day, dorms had AC. Common areas were super comfortable and the whole vibe at the hostel was amazing. It is a very social hostel and very easy to find new friends. Staff was also super friendly and helpful.

Some of the other staff could be more attentive.
The pools were really nice and my bed was comfy as well. China was super helpful upon check-in as we sent multiple emails and tried contacting the hostel thru every social media but no answer, we couldn’t even call them as no one answered but besides that, she was able to solve everything at check-in. There was also a guy he wore glasses super helpful, sorry don’t remember his name. You can actually walk from the airport to the hostel. All in all, it was good and I would recommend this hostel.

I thought the breakfast system could have included a limited executive menu as an option, but still, the meal and the services at the time was good.
Everything was great! Location is awesome (you can go pretty much everywhere by foot, even leaving/going to the airport) and the facilities (dorms, commom area, pool, bathrooms) are very organized, clean and confortable. It might be easily the best value in San Andres, since it serves the needs of different types of travelers (solo, families w/ children, group of friends, etc.)

Apart for the high price the res was a bit more than expected.

No mini-bar in the room.
The pool area was amazing.. food was really good.. They give you bracelets when you check in to charge everything to it and pay at checkout. The room was cleaned, and they filled a bottle of drinkable water for us daily (bec you can't drink tap water in San andres). Having coffee and tea in the room. Nice activities every day, which they announce in a whatsapp group.
