There wasn't much around outside of the hotel, but that was not what we came for.

The hotel itself was wonderful, the staff was kind and friendly, every meal was delicious and the drinks were perfect and refreshing.

A bit hard to get to if you don’t have your own car or didn’t arrange airport pickup beforehand. But nothing big to worry.

The hotel is a hidden gem in a town locates between the cities of Barranquilla and Cartagena. Service is outstanding. It has spa available and food is amazing. The design of the common areas and the rooms are well aligned with the environment and adult style stay. Totally recommend it. Great that it has limits on noise, so you can actually rest when needed.

It was an incredible experience. I went with my mom and it was super nice. The staff was very helpful and flexible <3 It felt like being in Bali or Tulum.

The beach itself is not very beautiful, but EcoXata has built nice & private places to enjoy the beach. it is very windy, great for kite surfing, less so for reading a book.

The bathrooms in the huts are BEAUTIFUL, however, they are outside so going to the bathroom in the middle of the night called for bug spray and a sharp eye. I could also nitpick about the bed's comfort level but overall this hotel is a MUST VISIT.

STUNNING facilities with unmatched service! Everything from the moment we got there felt luxurious. Their food is TOP NOTCH and they even set us up for dinner and a movie outside- it was incredibly romantic. I can't say enough good things about our experience here.

Really nothing bad to mention - only the infrastructure around the hotel is poor, but it’s not their fault.

Eco Xata is an absolute gem, which I was not expecting to find in a small village. It is a true family-run eco hotel, where everything is made of wood with a lot of attention to details. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay - direct access to the beach, comfortable cabañas, areas to relax and work, tasty fresh meals, good internet. The best thing is the service - you are treated way better than in many large hotels! The employees are very well trained and try to make you as comfortable as possible.

The service was so over the place. Sometimes it could be more than ten minutes of us sitting down to eat/drink to be asked what we wanted, and some of the servers' dispositions were also not the best. We ventured outside the hotel several times and every time it took more than five minutes for someone to hear the bell and let us back inside the property. The beach outside of the hotel is very dirty and full of debris. I almost stepped on a giant, rusty nail just feet away from the hotel's beach access point (I get that is outside of the hotel's responsibility, but just keep it in mind).

The hotel is beautiful and our suite that overlooked the trees was really charming and unique. You can tell they took some time to look into the details. I was there to kitesurf and the hotel was a great spot to do that and relax afterwards.
