Viajero Cartagena is centrally located and the staff (especially Mila) were very accommodating and welcoming. They offer many activities and my stay there was very comfortable.

-The showers didn't always feel clean and our room had quite a lot of ants -I felt the drinks were quite expensive at the bar -The rooms are fairly small with all beds joined together, and the way the lockers are means it's quite an effort to organise and access your belongings

-The reception staff were all very friendly and welcoming -Staff who ran the activities got everyone involved and made a lot of effort to provide a good time -Breakfast was good and well-priced too -Rooms had lockers, curtains, plug sockets and lamps per person -Common areas are quite nice and good for socialising -I couldn't hear too much noise from my room and was able to sleep with ear plugs in

If you book a dorm you could be unlucky to get one in the bar area, so prepare for really loud music at night. Fortunately the Viajero hostels have free earplugs at reception for these cases.

It's a really cool hostel for young travelers! There are so many people at the bar and pool area that it's super easy to get to know others. They have daily events to participate in. The staff is very friendly! The location is very central in Cartagena old town where everything is safe and walkable, I was super happy about that because I heard that walking at night in the other area Getsemani isn't too safe at night.

There were a couple of good staff that worked at the front desk who cared about their jobs and gave a good experience. The main issue at this Viajero is that the bar staff were not great at all. They seemed to just not care about their jobs at all. You go to the bar and order a beer and it would take them 10 minutes to turn around and grab the beers from the fridge from you. Also, another guest caught the one bar tender automatically adding 10% tip to debit sales. I know this is not much but it is shady and untrustworthy activity. I thought this was a good hostel but it seems to me the staff and management could use some work, not up to Viajero standards and I have stayed at 6 different Viajero locations.

Good location. Rooms and beds were nice. The whole hostel is one level with open court yards which is a cool design. There is a nice pool on site. Lots of showers and washrooms available in common areas as well as 2 hammocks.

I was there during the water shutdown so we didn’t have water for 3 days. It wasn’t the hostel’s fault but I feel like they could’ve managed it better, such as giving a free night or something like that to the guests affected. Luckily, they let me refund my last night so I could switch to a hostel with water. Also, it is on the pricy side for sure, especially for dorms but I thought it was worth it.

Atmosphere is unmatched, you WILL make friends for sure. Pub crawls were fun and decently priced. The people organizing the pub crawls and activities were awesome, especially Camila. Rooms were big enough for the amount of people. AC was strong enough in the room that it wasn’t too hot.

The hostel offers everything you need. Comfortable beds, soft towels, AC, and a little space for personal things. There are tours, parties, things to do… We were happy with everything.

After the first day, we encountered water shortages so everything became really difficult and unpleasant, unfortunately. The female front desk wasn’t so friendly.

The location is good, inside the city wall of the old town, the staff made it really clean for the space when they had water. The male receptionists were super friendly and helpful. Very sociable place to meet people!

Maybe it is not the best place to rest since the music is on and loud until midnight and the room they gave me was very close to it. Even though it is not their fault, they had a drug dealer almost all they long next to the entrance of the hostel, I think they should call the police to avoid this person to be around their entrance.

The staff was very friendly, the girl in the reception on my check out date was super helpful because my phone fell on the water and she helped me out to find solutions and to charge it the next day, also to print some bus tickets and with some other information that I requested for such stressful situation. It is a great place to meet other travellers since it is a "party hostel". The location is excellent, close to the clock tower by walk, like 10 min or so.

The hostel is so busy, the personal is kind and friendly but a little bit overwhelmed. If you want to sleep and chill it might not the right place. For the party and meeting new people it’s a good place.

The pool and party vibes is very good. Clean and enough space in the rooms.

Not at the fault of the hostel, but we didn’t sleep well some nights as people were always outside our room having conversations between unsocial hours (2:30am-5am). Staff slow to disperse noise. WiFi not great signal

The bartenders charged you full price for drinks during happy hour unless you told them you wanted happy hour prices. Which I think they should be at happy hour prices regardless

The private annex accommodation which was separate from the main hostel is great for people who want quiet rooms but still have access to hostel facilities. Reception & breakfast staff were very nice!
