I really enjoyed my time El Zoo Hostel! I really like breakfast and all food made in the restaurant (menu del dia). Beside this room was really clean and bed was really comfortable which is on of the most important things for me! I really like common area such as swimming pool :) Staff was also really nice and helpful! Highly reccomend El Zoo Hostel!

Right next to our room there is a landfill !! I couldn’t believe this. The worse part is that the hotel seems to have access to it, like it is their property. I really don’t understand what’s that landfill is doing there. But is very smelly

I did like this hostel. The vibe is so so nice, the hostel itself is beautiful, the rooftop is just amazing! You can see the Sierra Nevada from the restaurant rooftop! The place is quiet, the rooms are very comfy. It is just the best.

That we could not stay more days in palomino

The staff is very friendly and know the town very well and what there is to do. As palomino is in low season, the hostel is perfect for relaxing by the pool or coming back from the beach to have a drink and chat with other guests or staff in the evenings. On the days we wanted to go out partying, they recommended the best places and best of all, you can always walk everywhere. They also seem to be trying new options with breakfast and it was delicious every day.

Really chill vibes. Great location and value for money . Personal fan and mosquito net per bed. Free break fast and good Happy Hour at Bar on cocktails. El zoo restaurant next door . Lots of bathroom and showers. Showers could be cleaned more regular as the sand is everywhere . Pool table , laundry service is also really fast ans efficient. Would recommend!

- Too many cats roaming around freely, sleeping in dorm beds. - Pool table is off level and located too close to fence to be able to manoeuvre cue. - Social activities organisation was pretty poor. - Gave us zero information or recommendations about what else is happening around town.

The showers are okay. Sometimes the flow wasn’t really strong so it took a time to take a shower. But it is just a detail. It is super okay.

This place is amazing ❤️ The salaries are really lovely. The atmosphere is really friendly and enjoyable ✨ The beds are really good with a fan for each person, it is really comfortable.

Had quite a few mix ups with beds which was quite annoying. While one lady was really unhelpful the other was lovely and provided a refund where necessary

The hostel have everything you need. A nice pool area to hang out in, bar and music at night, nice co-working area. Rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast is great. Higly Recommend!

The wifi didn’t reach our tent

The glamping tent we stayed in was so much nicer than we were expecting, it felt very private and we had our own hammock and a fan inside the tent

The kitchen could be a bit better equipped. The bathrooms weren't that clean. They messed up my payment. I was told at the end of my stay, that I should pay for the accommodation, even though I had paid at the beginning. I thankfully paid by card, so I could prove it. If you pay in cash, ask for a receipt.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The dorm was clean with spacious bunks, you get a large locker and a smaller one by the bed so loads of space to keep your things. I forgot my padlock but they had one I could rent, it cost 5k COP. The area by the pool was really sociable with lots of places to sit and hang out, and they have happy hour at the bar in the evening. Even though it is sociable the dorms are quiet so you can sleep. The location is great, right on the main road to the beach. Having a kitchen was handy and it’s quite well equipped. The breakfast was simple but good. The pool is pretty large and very clean compared to other hostels in Palomino. There is a coworking space and the wifi was fast, good enough for a zoom call with video.

Pool is a bit small

Private room was perfect, dorms seemed very good as well. Pool was nice and clean. Staff is super friendly. Bar and restaurant are good and cheap. Relaxed social atmosphere. Price is a lot better than the big hostels.
