Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBeautiful property away from the village, surrounded by trees and birds, accessible by boat or walking from Puerto Nariño. The owner and staff are extremely nice and accommodating, and the tours they organise are perfect and not overpriced.

Czech RepublicNo air-contitioning , electricity works only part of the day, breakfast is very basic, no fresh milk , no vegetable but it fits with the price so we did not expect more.
Magical guiet place on the Amazon river bank. Pleasant swimming pool, friendly owners ready to help , possibility of trips to Peru or other interesting activities. No restaurant but guests could order good diner in advance or ask for free 10 min transfer to Puerto Nariňo to have diner there. Fair Quality and price. We would like to come again.

Big thank you to Carlos and Zoraida. Eware was a very relaxed place to stay. All the activities were super easy to organise and we had some incredible experiences on the tours. Carlos is one of the few people who speak English in the area which was a massive help as our Spanish was a bit hit and miss.

CanadaA quaint refuge off the beaten path! The stay here was not only comfortable and clean with friendly staff, but the location was breathtaking! Situated on the Amazon River and surrounded by the Amazon forest, this rustic oasis is a nature lover's dream. The staff was amazing - they set up tours and excursions for us, including hikes to see sloths, night walks in the Amazon, and fishing for pirana. The tours were all small (2-5 people), which amplified the experience. The food here was also great. Breakfast is included, but you can also purchase a freshly cooked lunch or dinner on site -- every meal served was different and delicious :) Lastly, I personally liked the rustic touch. There's no AC, electricity operates at certain hours, and the WIFI isn't lightening fast... but if you're visiting the Amazon and looking forward to immersing yourself in nature, WIFI isn't a priority ;)

United KingdomNot a criticism and vey expected in the amazon but to be aware it is very hot and humid - it’s the Amazon and the fans are only on for a certain number of hours a night.
We stumbled upon this place and are so glad we did; we absolutely loved it ! The location is stunning and feels relatively untouched- 2 hours from Leticia and surrounded by nature. It is easy to get to Puerto Narino centre and port and the hostel arranged transfers to and from the port. The pool is perfect to cool down in the heat. All activities were easy to arrange and were incredible value - we particularly loved the dolphin spotting, swimming in the lake and piranha fishing. This was perfect for us who didn’t want to commit to a full jungle tour and could pick and choose our activities. Thank you so much Carlos and family.

United StatesAll was great :)
What wasn't to like! Our stay here was AMAZING! The hotel arranged a boat/ferry pickup from Puerto Narino for, and upon check-in they showed us the property, our room, and went over all the details like breakfast hours and how to book a tour through them. We interacted with Carlos a lot who as SO friendly and kind! Even though our spanish wasn't great, he spoke slow and was very patient with us. He always had a big smile and couldn't have been nicer to us! Upon check-in we even saw a bunch of monkeys running around which was fun, and the hotel has a nice pool with some pergolas and really nice LED lighting at night. It's about a 10 minute walk from the monkey part which you HAVE to check out if you stay here! There's also a big tower you can climb to watch the gorgeous sunrise on the Amazon. The room we had was very comfortable, had great sheets and mosquito nets, and even had a ceiling fan which was super nice to have. We really loved our stay here, the location was great, and we also booked a tour to San Martin de Amacayacu through the hotel, and we loved it! Our tour guide didn't speak English (which is totally fair) but he was very nice and patient and communicated with us in simple spanish so we could chat with him in spanish no problem! This isn't a con, but just be aware the hotel runs off solar and battery-backup, which means power is generally available between like 5pm and midnight. Make sure you charge your stuff within that window, and bring a powerbank or two to carry you through the night if need be.

CanadaThis place is wonderful. The location is incredible. The staff are wonderful. The tours are such great value. We were provided gum boots to walk around the property and to Puerto Narino. The restaurant was extremely accommodating and tried to make meals that our picky kids would eat. I have never slept better. All our beds had nets. It was hot, but the fans helped.

CanadaThe WiFi is very unreliable and slow which is fairly common in the Amazon. Don’t expect to get any serious work done on it.
Beautiful location. Staff are amazing. Great food and excellent tours all at affordable rates. They offer all the same tours that the tour companies do but you skip the middleman and support locals directly. I don’t know much Spanish but over Whats App they gave me all the directions I needed which made it easy to get there, order meals, tours, etc. They also accept credit card which is good to know.

United KingdomIt would have been nice to get some hot water from the shower. It was the same in the hotels I used in Leticia. But this is the Amazon, not Beverly Hills. What do you expect? Even now, in a superb hotel in Cali, there's no hot shower water. Maybe it's a national thing. Call the president!
Breakfast was good. The location is superb, reached by a short boat ride from Puerto Narino (or you can walk for about 30 minutes). They run all day and into the evening. Carlos is a superb host. Laid back, nothing fazes him. He will arrange any boat trips: Lake Tarapoto, San Antonio, the Peruvian island in the middle of the river, Piranha fishing, kayaking, whatever. Unlike Trip Advisor etc, where you are funneled into a ridiculously overpriced tour, these are casual but ordered affairs. You and the boatman may be the only participants. Yes, and very reasonable prices. Or you might want to go for a night walk, straight out of the hotel and into the jungle. Fantastic. The bedrooms are clean; the netting over the bed is in good order. It may not be the Hilton but it's certainly not a rough backpacker joint. There is a large main room for dining, a well-stocked bar, and a verandah overlooking an exotic garden and the Amazon river. Oh yes, and the swimming pool is big. I would return anytime.

United KingdomTHIS IS FOR AN ACTIVITY AND NOT THE ACCOMODATION: If you are near the 100KG weight limit for Ziplining, don't attempt it unless you are physically fit enough to pull yourself up 35metres with rope ascenders and stir-ups, which is some feat watching another guest struggle. Because if you're heavy, they will struggle to lift you up (I told them to stop and walked back to the accomodation to save them exhausting themselves and me hanging in the air for ages).
Firstly, It is fantastic value for money. This should be first...but secondly it's a very beautiful residence just down from Puerto Narinõ. Don't go there with great expectations and then you'll be pleasantly surprised. The people are friendly, the pool is a great asset when it's so hot. They'll organise tours for you. As long as you let them know, they can reserve the speed boat ferry from Leticia and back. If you come to the Amazon it's a great place to stay. Bring a torch with you if you want to walk to Puerto Narinõ incase it gets dark on way back. 30 min walk through jungle on a track. Be aware the power is run by solar and later generator and will go off around 10 or 11pm. Bring a double thin flat pin adaptor for your charging needs.

EstoniaThe location is just fantastic - insanely beautiful scenery and a lot of areas, where you can sit down, relax and enjoy yourself and your surroundings. The place is not very sound-proof, but somehow, I had the best sleep I've had in years. The food was very good. Don't expect a 5 course gourmet meal - it's the Amazon jungle. There isn't a multitude of options, but everything you get, is very tasty. The beer is ice-cold. Most importantly, the staff is warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. From booking the boat tickets to arranging different tours around the area, everything went without a hickup. - all that despite us speaking very little Spanish and the staff not speaking much English. Carmelo - thank you for being such a great host and making us feel welcome during the entire stay! (apologies for thinking, that you were Carlos for the first couple of days)
