How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It got a little hot in our room but the staff very promptly brought us a fan.
We stayed 7 nights in this terrific hotel, which is beautifully designed and has super comfy beds, a good hot shower, large TV and decent air flow from the 2 windows. Wonderful location, easy stroll to dozens of great restaurants, bars and cafes. Staff are very kind and helpful. Restaurant has one of the best salads in the city. Highly recommend.

The floor of our room wasn't clean in fact there was even a staple on the floor and the toilet seat was broken. I could see what the problem was, our room had a rug and the cleaners would have found it extremely difficult to clean it as they didn't have vacuum cleaners . With so many stairs and no lifts they would be difficult to manoeuvre any way. Would have mentioned the above to Sebastian and I know he would have sorted but after a long journey and the fact we had asked him to sort out incorrect room charge we didn't want to hassle him again. Person on reception couldn't have been more disinterested and unfriendly on arrival not the best welcome.
Really loved the shower and all the bathroom products were generous and of a good standard. Really close to some lovely eating places we particularly liked Mistral at the end of the road. Sebastian was fantastic he was extremely helpful and kind. He sorted out a problem when we were overcharged for our stay quickly and efficiently.

We had a great room in the eaves, and the hotel was quiet to sleep in - however, be sure to close both windows properly (it's a sort of double glazing effect) as ours was open on the outside, so we awoke early on the first night, to the sound of the extractor fan and food smells.
This was the perfect base after a long flight, cosy and intimate. Having breakfast outside was a bonus, yet equally a joy when it was colder on one of the mornings. The furnishings and and decor are as described and very comfortable. The cocktails are splendid!

The facility offerings on booking.com said there was an airport shuttle which was not the case. It was really easy to hear other guests in the halls and on the stairs from inside the room.
Great breakfast. The rooms were cozy and the shower was nice. Lovely outdoor patio upstairs.

The hallways had a strong smell of cleaning solution/air freshener which was kind of overpowering. My room was next to one of the maids’ work stations, so there was sone early morning noise from that.
Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, in a quiet location but close enough to walk to the fun places in Chapinero. The patio area is charming, with many plants.

Great location, comfortable beds, nice sheets, and an excellent, helpful staff! We were a bit hot in our room but they immediately brought us a fan and helped with everything we needed.

The room can get a bit hot and stuffy even with the window opened. The bar, restaurant and shop close pretty early. so if arriving late, then must look for options elsewhere.
Lovely hotel located close to all the great restaurants, and the main bus route. The patio was really nice to relax at.

The hotel was noisy at times due to other guests and cleaning staff in the morning.
The rooms were very comfortable and the location is perfect. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Loved the breakfasts - especially the granola and mandarin juice!

Our room was nice but small for a five night stay. Next time we get a bigger room. Drinking water available in the hall for the carafe was nice but the drinking glasses were not exchanged even once. Very noisy party in the atrium on Saturday night disturbed a lot of people .
The coffee was made one cup at a time. Delicious. Breakfast menu for guests was unique. Farm to table meant fresh fresh food.

The blind in our room didn't work and we found the Whatsapp had quite a slow response. Would also be useful if there were more plugs in the room.
