The outside is very wet (cause of the rain and swimming pool that don’t evacuate) and it gets the bedrooms a bit dirty

Not enough ventilation in the rooms . Very uncomfortable to breathe.

The garden and rooftop was beautiful! Pool and jacuzzi looked nice and clean but I didn't get to enjoy . It was cold. Loved the 8 puppies on property. Patricia made amazing breakfast, Camila set me up with an amazing horseback riding tour, and Drasana was a great person to hold a conversation with she also did my laundry . Thank you for your hospitality ladies .

Officially after 11pm supposed to be silent, but even 3am was a party front of the rooms. The cafeteria supposed to be open from 7 am, but at 8 it was stil closed

We got put in a 6 person room instead of a 4 person room liked we had booked but it wasn’t too much of an issue for 3 nights. You had to wait for the bathrooms to be free a lot of the time and they weren’t always the cleanest at times.

We loved the roof top area which had amazing views of the surrounding mountains. The pool and the surrounding hammocks which were nice to chill in. The staff were friendly and helpful! We had a coffee by the restaurant every morning and we were always welcomed (by the staff and the cute dogs who live in the hostel)! The hostel is really well located and is just a couple of minutes walk from Calle Real and the main square where you can get the jeeps to the coffee farms and Cocora Valley.

There weren’t a lot of bathrooms which could be challenging, but for the price point, waiting was fine.

The service was really good! David and the other staff were very helpful, stored my food and bags, and were just overall great with anything I needed. True Colombian hospitality. I actually liked the music (there’s music playing anywhere you go in Colombia FYI!)

When we needed to move rooms there was a particularly grumpy girl, it's a shame that one person let the high standards down. Towels would be nice.

Cezar was exceptionally helpful when our booking went a bit wrong. The hostel is a little oasis with lovely plants and a cool pool, there is a nice roomy roof terrace with a hot tub. The beers at the bar are nice and cold and reasonably priced.

The lady at check-in late at night was a bit unfriendly. Also my room was really small (4x4 meter, 3 bunkbeds, 6 people). Music during daytime is also quite loud and pointed towards the rooms.

The green garden and swimming pool are really nice.

The hostel is lacking a soul. Music goes really loud with the most random playlists. Staff are always on their phones and aren’t really helpful when asking for info. I forgot some clothes in the toilet on my last day and it was a pain trying to get help from the staff to try to find them. The clothes disappeared and there was very little effort from the hostel to help.

The rooms were dull and poorly lit with only one centre light. There were no sheets on the bed instead there were fleece blankets. I assumed they were clean but they did smell a bit like mould. I wondered why they don't use sheets as they would be cheaper and easier to launder, they'd brighted up the room. We would have stayed longer except didn't like the dull room and the bathrooms needed more regulat thorough cleaning. The bins full of tissue need to be emptied more regularly.

The pool area and rooftop is gorgeous. Lovely green plants and trees everywhere giving a sense of privacy. Really nice swinging chairs to chill in. I enjoyed the music being played. Coffee was good! Loved the cute little dogs around the place.

feng shui was off, weird social vibe here. think it was mainly israelis staying there so felt a bit cliquey. the music was always loud and a bit intense. ladder on my bed was against the wall and i’m short so made it very awkward for me to get into the top bunk. staff could have been a bit friendlier

It smells of mold in the room. Room extremely basic (no trash can, no table, no chair) They put music all day long and night. All rooms are around the pool where music and party is, so either you can hear super loud music or other people. it’s difficult to be there if you are not there for the party.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Location is great.

Salento is a cute charming peaceful place. Stay at least a day or two longer than you think as the charms,.foods and amenities of the hostel and town far exceed the usual small.village, pueblito norms. Must eat at Cafe Bernebe

Great hostel. Quite laid back, but active and social place for the guests. Noise didn't bother me with a very good location just 2 blocks from the plaza. Basic lodging, dorm rooms and beautiful pool.

All hostel could be cleaner. There were a lots of spiders (probably because of the garden), so don't go there if you're afraid. Rooms are really small and there is not so much space for your luggage. The staff wasn't very friendly. Wifi was sometimes unstable.

The location was great. We liked the view from terrace and small swimming pool, where you can relax.
