Our room didn’t have a window and the building is quite old so the air was not the greatest. We kept open the doors to the common area sometimes to get air in, but this is not really doable throughout the whole day. It’s definitely not the worst thing, and also not something they can do anything about, but something to keep in mind if you like fresh air.

The owners are super friendly! It feels like visiting family friends. The location is also super nice; Salento is very small so everything is close by. Everyone has their own bathroom; I don’t mind sharing a bathroom but it is always nice to have your own space. The bread and fruits in the morning are super lovely. The owners also helped us super nicely with planning stuff and giving tips.

Good location, 5 mins away from the main square. But Salento is small so everything is close. Good value for money, the room was spacious and clean. The private bathroom is separate i.e. you have to walk through the common area to get there so keep that in mind. It was not a problem for us. The owners were very nice, especially the lady who gave us lots of information and made sure we had breakfast and coffee. The man was nice too, although a bit strict on explaining the rules. It felt like he was expecting us to break them, but then again maybe they’ve had people like that in the past so they are just cautious. All in all a good place to stay for exploring Salento and Valle de Cocora!

The room we stayed in (the cheapest one) does not have any windows (nor to the outside or to the patio inside). Although the room does have plenty of space this can feel a bit claustrofobic. We booked one extra night after we returned from a trekking in the mountains and got one of their other rooms which did have a window and I'd definitely recommend to book one of those rooms if you don't mind to pay a bit extra

The hosts are incredibly friendly and have a lot of good tips for restaurants, activities and connecting busses from Salento. The breakfast was limited, but definitely offered a good start of the day! In terms of value for money this was one of our best stays in Colombia.

*The owner, Marta, is an amazing person. She is the best host I have ever met. She explained what to do in Salento and recommended some cafes and restaurants upon check-in. She welcomed us very well. *The breakfast, bread, fruits, and coffee, is amazing. She said it's simple but it is more than enough! Even though we left the hostel early in the morning to get a bus, she prepared breakfast for us. Thank you a lot!! *The location is good. Very close to everywhere. *Though the bathroom is located outside of the room, it's not shared with other guests. We really wanna come back~~~

Marta and Hugo were just fabulous hosts. Full of local information and extremely welcoming and helpful. The bed was really comfy. They provided fresh seasonal fruits and lovely bread and coffee in the morning. The infamous map provided by Marta was really useful. We loved our stay here. Hot shower. You have to let it run to get it going for 40 seconds as Hugo advised.

Very friendly and helpful host. We really felt at home here. She provided advice on things to do in the area and delicious fruit, bread and coffee every morning. The house is located just 5 minutes from the main square but still nice and quiet. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in Salento!

Liked everything- a lot

Just stay here. Marta was an excellent host, we were treated like family and she clearly loves having guests to stay in her family house. She gives everyone a welcome that sets you up for your trip, how to get around, the best restaurants and trails to do. Breakfast was simple but delicious coffee, fruits and bread. Nothing was too much trouble. We left three days ago and still missing the welcome and warmth we got at Marta’s house.

Our room was on the road and didn’t have any proper windows(just shutters), there isn’t much communal space to relax and no outdoor space.

Good location if you want to be central, good and well priced laundry service and really lovely hostess!

We loved everything

Everything! If we could give more than 10 points, we would. We felt like being a part of one big happy and warm family the 5 days when we were there. Martha is incredibly kind and her husband too. She took great care of us and made us a map upon arrival with all the places that were interesting for us in and around Salento. she even took the time to point out all the vegan restaurants in town for us. We also loved the breakfast in the morning. She claims it's not breakfast but you get coffee, fresh fruit and bread in the morning and it's a great way to start the day. We miss you, Martha! And big kiss to the cats Noesy and Tushi ❤️

Lovely hosts! They took time to explain to us/ draw the map before going to Cocora. They were also very helpful with other information including coffee tours, restaurants etc. Beautiful guest house, super well located and great value. We enjoyed our stay very much, the family is really kind and helpful!!! The owner (i don't remember her name) is a very friendly lady who gave us a map and explained us everything we needed to know about Salento (even the hike on Cerro Morrogacho which is not a common thing to do and where to buy art in Salento). We did not even ask for it! The rooms are spacious and clean!
