It’s a beautiful place, really peaceful and the hammock in front of our room was so nice! Everything is in walking distance and the pool looked amazing (went swimming in the ocean instead).

The location is super , right next to the 6th street for some shops and you will be on the beach after 10 minutes walk

There no kitchen we could use and they only sold beer on site. They did have space in a small fridge we could use. The bathroom was rather basic. A very short part of the last bit of the walk home is in the dark, but felt totally safe.

This is a quieter place, really nice if you want to be away a little from the crowd, but still really close to the beach and main cafes etc The pool is peaceful and relaxing and the little wooden huts are on stilts with a wonderful hanging bed (much more comfortable than you might think). The staff are helpful.

I couldn't understand it, but even at the hotel reception, nobody knew a single word in English, making it nearly impossible to communicate with the staff even on the simplest matters.

Very nice and comfortable accommodation with a large and spacious area and a big swimming pool. The rooms were in a natural style, which we really liked. Breakfast was also provided at the accommodation. I also positively evaluate the location of the accommodation.

This place is amazing. The staff are all so friendly, especially the ladies who made a delicious breakfast and did our laundry (great service). The pool is so clean and the beers are really good value. Perfect location away from the noisy main street but an easy walk into the centre of Palomino.

Lovely place, just a 2 minute walk to the main street (a little dark at night but safe), but far enough away not to hear the big “until dawn” parties. Rooms are clean & comfortable with good mozzie nets & great shower pressure. Pool was fantastic! Clean, good temperature & with a separate smaller pool. Breakfast was nice. We extended our stay & would return. Nice areas outside rooms with hammock, chairs, table.

The room itself was very basic. Nowhere to put anything especially in the bathroom! No hanging space or even a hook for a towel. Breakfast was pretty basic. Only beer or water available to buy at the property. A few snacks or fizzy drinks would be nice. (To be fair you can byo and keep them in the fridge)

The pool area is beautiful. The site feels very spacious and calm even though it’s only a few minutes walk from all the bars, restaurants and beach. A nice place to escape the madness! The garden is lovely - we saw 3 toucans in the trees! Great aircon Lovely to have a hammock on the porch The staff were lovely, very helpful but spoke no English.

No hot water. Bathroom very basic. Breakfast could be better, coffee is terrible.

Beautiful huts with handy mosquito nets. The swimming pool was really pleasant and needed since you cannot really swim in palomino. The staff was really kind. The accommodation is basic but really charming and romantic. We also used the laundry service which was good.

The room was quite hot, could of done with another fan maybe but that's all.

We really enjoyed our time staying here. The site is brilliant and peaceful, there's lots of room to chill out and enjoy, plus lots of nature to see. The pool area is spacious and really relaxing. Breakfast was great everyday. The staff were really helpful and attentive. The hostel even has turtles they look after! Around 5 minute walk to the main street in Palomino so not much noise from here.

They didn't have a menu or list of drinks available which seems a bit silly as they don't speak any English and you don't know what's available. Also they were really cheap so we would probably have drunk more when we were there if we had known. Bathroom was really big but nowhere to hang towels or put your toilteries etc. Breakfast is very repetitive.

Really nice little complex just away from the noise of the town but only a few minutes walk. Nice pool. Cheap drinks. Really friendly staff.

* WIFI: Was a bit unstable in cabana 14 but in restaurant area was great * BATHROOM: Showering is an experience- I turned pressure up high and set the entire bathroom under water. I ended up showering at the pool every day, which was great for me * CARD PAYMENT - is possible with a 5% fee

*QUIET: Just off the main road but peaceful and quiet. *MOUNTAIN VIEW: You can see snow-caped Sierra Nevada at sunrise *OWNERS - Miguel and his family (Sandy, Norelis) were incredibly kind and helpful. You immediately feel welcome. they are from Palomino and Miguel has a lot of knowledge about anything you wanna know - he’s always up for a good conversation *TRANQUILITY: The entire place transmits so much peace and tranquility form the noisy town *CABANA with floating bed right next to pool was spacious and had enough storage space (large shelf, table with two chairs on patio) *FLOATING BED was comfortable and not moving much and it had a mosquito net (I traveled by myself) *Waking up to the sound of birds was heaven *Pool was cleaned daily, contained Kids area and was illuminated at night * The entire area was huge with mango and plum trees * BREAKFAST was traditional and delicious (eggs, arepa with cheese, huge fruit plate, hot drink and juice) * LAUNDRY on site is very convenient * GUEST SERVICE: Very attentive for guests - I had a personal request related to the food and they made an exception for me

the lights in our unit only worked when you hit the switch in a certain way, and only in certain light combinations (i.e. it would be easier to turn on the main room light if the porch light was already on, etc.). the key to get into our room was also finicky, but worked fine once we got the hang of it.

the facilities and room were very clean and comfortable! the pool was amazing and open late, and the room included a mosquito net. the communal space outside of the pool was very enjoyable and each unit had their own porch/hammock area outside of the room.

There seemed to be some ongoing building work which wasn't too intrusive apart from some audible intermittent hammering if chilling by the pool. The breakfast arepas were freshly made but seemed to be uncooked inside (not sure if they are meant to be like this but elsewhere they have always been firm rather than gooey inside). The location and property are very dark when arriving at night which was slightly unnerving when arriving in a new place. However, subsequent to that I found that the whole area feels very safe and so the darkness then felt fine (but you need a phone torch to get home each night!)

Cute cabin with comfortable bed with mosquito net. Amazing swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds. Lovely and spacious environment at the property. A few minutes walk from the main street and 10 mins from the beach. Great breakfast. Fridge available to use. Kind lady who seems to be in charge. Good value for money.

A small holder for my hygiene items in the bathroom would be a good addition.

We ended up staying longer than expected. What makes this place special is it's owner. One of the very few Colombian owners in Palomino. Therefore he has to tell many interesting stories if you want to learn more about Palomino, it's people and surroundings. (He wants to learn English but so far only speaks Spanish). Antoher big plus is the space you have on the hostel grounds. There is a swimming pool, an eating area with breakfast included. They will offer you different breakfast options if you simply ask them. There are baby turtles, a garden and space to put down your yoga mat on the grass if you want to work out. The location is excellent. You are only a few minutes walk from the beach and the restaurants and stores. It's quiet. There are no dogs but you are welcome to bring your pet along.

The bed was SO hard and the first few nights we were in a 'suspended/swinging bed' but asked to change to a stable one. The hard bed would NOT deter us from staying here again!

The grounds were really fantastic and like a quiet little oasis in the small beach town. They have tanks of turtles for conservation, lovely gardens, flowers and fruit trees. The pool is the ideal place to be...with loads of chairs.
