Location, 400 metres from the beach and nice streets, living with the birds and palm trees, making a friend in Pascal who was stopping there, watching the French open on TV, getting Pascal to cook, sea bream. Airy spacious living area and terrace.

I think it’d be great to be given some bathroom towels.

The place is located in a very convenient spot. It’s within a walking distance from Playa Laguito and Playa Bocagrande. There is AC in the room, the bathroom is spacious and the bed is comfortable. What we liked the most is that they kept our luggage after the checkout as were were going to Baru. We got back late and all covered in sand and they kindly allowed us to take a shower, they also kept our luggage for a little longer, so we could have dinner as our flight was delayed.

It's advertised as a hotel, however the fact that there was not even a board with the name of the 'hotel' at the entrance, should have attracted my attention. We had a family room, with a shared bathroom with an other room. Not a great solution for our family of 5. The place is globally ok, but I believe there are better options nearby.

The mattress feels like it was supposed to be replaced a long time ago. Size wise the room was fitting me and the one more person was there with so i wouldn't want to imagine how it will be with 6 different guests The bathroom floor was always wet. The wifi wasn't working half if my staying. The bathroom never had soap and a shortage of toilet paper was quite command in my two nights stay . The air conditioning was not working at one night. The worst of all is that no matter what, the air-conditioning is on from 19 to 7. Half this time, nobody was even in the room and it its not unbearably hot most of. I would rather have it for the two hours after that than this whole other twelve because then the heat starts being unbearable and usually people still sleeping considering the probability that if they already came to Bocagrande, they usually not there for traveling the city so much because its far from everywhere else in the city. That and the list of policies being given to me before checking in, the extra charge for towels just for shared room guests, and the time some other guest needed to wait for checking in because she got like an hour early, even though I can assure that the room was already ready for her, was making me feel that guests, and especially dorms guests are just welcome in this place.

The workers there, all in all, were nice.

Be aware that its far away from the city center and the historical parts and you're at the tip of the hotel zone.

No locker. Bad guest. No ac nor fan in all common areas so it's hot and lots of mosquito attacks. A middle aged man stays long term in the dorm. He goes to bed at 9pm and demanded the lights to be off. I couldn't sleep because he masturbated loudly all night and the beds were shaking (my bed was right above his). I made some sound to let him realize he had woke me up. But he kept masturbating many times. The owner wouldn't make him leave. She said because he paid already. She only told him not yo do that. This guy wouldn't stop cursing me and shouting at me afterwards. Of course I left as quick as I could.

The fact that the hostel sells you an image. The private room is the one on the pics. It's nice. But the other room, cramped, no lockers, a total different story. Only one bathroom. Water was always cold. It was constantly getting filthy. Interesting guests. One guest was accused by another of improper behaviour. The owner was told. He's paid his room, nothing she could do. It was a hostile place after that. He used racist terms to disavow his accuser. The reviews of it being awesome are fake. No door knob on the shared room. Used a plastic bag as a door handle. Just chaos. AC was on so too cold. Then off... To warm. No chance for us to choose temperature.

arrived there at 13h. knowing that the check in was at 15h, it's normal that you've to wait until that time to get inside the room.. the girl that checked me in made me wait until 15h even with the room/bed ready (i just took the yellow fever vacc, and was not very well at that momment). at 15h she finally asked my docs to check me in, and stopped 3 or 4 times to pick up the phone. that check in proccess took over 40 minutes. (2h40 total) not a friendly staff, there is only one bathroom to shower/necessities and no lockers/hot water. wifi isnt great neither

It's not really a hotel, there isn't even a board with a hotel name, and you definitely don't see the ocean from your room. There are other better options in the same area

When we arrived late at night, the woman on the front desk didn't have our booking, and spent 20 minutes phoning different people to chat to them about this mistake, all the while completely ignoring us and giving no reassurance the mistake would be rectified. The rooms are okay, but you can definitely find more for your money in Cartagena. There's also no sign outside; we spent ages driving round in circles in a taxi looking for it.

The aircon worked. The balcony for smoking was a safe option.
