How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

They have few stuff from the mini bar and then they have a shaving kit and a cleaning kit, they should have a sticker or something that says that is has a cost. It is not clear, so I took it, then when I was checking out, they inform me that I took them, and it was quite embarrassing as I say, yes but I thought this items were included on our stay. I took them out of my suitcase
The staff is very friendly ! The breakfast is really good and the bedrooms are very comfy. It is a good and safe place to go with kids.

We used the transfer service offered by the hotel (private drivers) but we got charged differently by two drivers, despite having a price fixed by the hotel. Not too big of a difference but not nice.
An absolute gem in an excellent location in Bogota. This is definitely one of the best hotels you can book for the money. Comfortable beds, good facilities and tasty breakfast. For business or pleaseure, I would definitely stay there again.

The TV was not working but I wasn't really bothered.
The staff was very helpful and accommodated excellently my transfers from and to the airport. The breakfast was quite rich and very nice. The location, if you don't want to be right in the bustle and hustle of the city center, is nice. The room is nice, comfortable, big sized, and the internet connection is great,sth really important to me as I was working remotely.

We had no view, just the side of a building, but it didn’t bother us. Also, they don’t call taxis for you, only their own hotel transport at double the price. Small things though.
Staff were awesome. The breakfast was great, each day something different was served. Shower was amazing. The included room coffee was great quality. Overall solid hotel.

Bed was a bit too soft for my taste. But I know it was a good bed, just not my preference. This was not considered while rating the accommodation.
Bathroom was clean and shower was very spacious and nice.

The staff was exceptionally nice and personal. Breakfast was good and gym facilities were great. Best hotel we stayed at during our 3 week visit to Colombia. Would definitely stay there again.

A possible negative for some people might be the distance from the Museums/art galleries/cable car but Uber is ever present, reliable, inexpensive. We enjoyed the drives to our destinations as we saw most of the city as drivers chose their preferred routes. The compensation for the travel is that the hotels in La Candelaria are in noisy congested areas and the El Dorado was silent at night.
We had the twin room (601) which was spacious and well laid out - just as photos indicate. We appreciated the ample closet space, extra seating, the bar counter, and lots of counter space in the bathroom. We were always able to get ice for our room from the bar. The food selection at breakfast was better than most of the equivalent hotels we stayed in on our trip. The location was excellent as we could walk to a wide variety of restaurants for dinner. David and Jeff at the front desk and Yosman in the dining room plus the driver who picked us up from the airport (Leonardo Garcia) stand out for their good service and kindness.

The overall excellent impression is slightly spoiled by the amateur catering services. Non-functional menu on the hotel's website. Oversalted ceviche, burnt belly in ramen soup. I had to wait a quarter of an hour for coffee at breakfast, I canceled my order for eggs benedict after half an hour. These are details, but they should not happen in an excellent hotel. Such a pity

Surrounding area had a few constructions, while there wasn't any noise, it didn't feel so comfortable to walk close to the hotel at night.
The hotel exudes a premium ambiance throughout, with compact yet comfortable and well-designed rooms equipped with all the essentials. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the hotel's proximity to numerous excellent bars and restaurants adds to its appeal. While the breakfast was good, there is room for improvement, though it still stands out as above average for a typical hotel breakfast.

Lovely hotel, super clean. Rooms absolutely lovely and big. Breakfast are amazing with great variety. Lots of fresh fruits, bread, hot food etc. Great location just a couple blocks from Parque 93, restaurants, cafes. Staff was so polite and professional. We absolutely loved to chat every morning with Yosman(Server) at breakfast. He made our stay so special. Also Fernanda was lovely.
