Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CuraçaoA bulb in the bathroom as well as the safe in the room were defect (minor malfunctions). We did not report this during our stay.
Excellent breakfast and brunch with lots of fresh/local products. Very warm and friendly staff all around the hotel. Would definitely return to this hotel in a future stay.

United StatesHonestly, I can’t find a single fault because I left the place seeing how much pride people put in their jobs.
Breakfast was fantastic!! And the kitchen staff was amazing. I almost cried when they handed me granadilla after they noticed me staring at the center pieces made of that fruit. So kind!!! The facilities are very clean. Location soared us from needing a cab. Every office building was within the walking distance. Loveliest people on staff.

ColombiaAC was a bit cold by default and we didn't adjust it... but that's on us so not a problem that affected our experience whatsoever.
Our stay at the JW Marriot was wonderful. We where celebrating our wedding night and staff where very helpful with the early check in I needed in order to get to the hotel late at night without having to go through the process. Room service the next day was delicious and quick, and they where kind enough to extend our stay by one hour in order to get ourselves together before check out.

MexicoWaiting time for omelets and other dishes that need to be prepared (i.e. that are not readily available at the buffet) is really long. They may need more staffing in the kitchen or better organization, as there is usually pressure for time in the mornings.
The hotel staff is simply amazing. They are friendly, knowledgeable, committed and attentive. Everyone from bell boys to managers are always willing to help with a big smile, and making you feel welcome and pampered. The rooms are comfy, despite being in a busy business, entertainment and residential district (Chapinero), the rooms have excellent noise isolation in the windows, effective blackout curtains (this helps a lot, because Bogotá is close to the equator and days start around 6h all year long), super comfy beds, an array of soft and firm pillows, a nice bathtub, vast space in closet and drawers, along with a large desk to work, and a coach. The swimming pool/spa section is good, but not as good as in other top hotels in Bogotá. The restaurant has nice options for buffet breakfast (some Colombian and international dishes, with amazing fruit, that is a must in Colombia), it is clean and functional. Amenities at this hotel are below those found in other JW Marriott hotels in Qatar, Dubai and super fancy destinations, even below US JW Marriott standards (different international speciality restaurants in the hotel, extended spa facilities, etc), but they are very much in line with other top notch hotels in Latin America. In particular the amenities lag behind those at Bogotá's Four Seasons, but the rates at JW Marriott are considerably lower. However, other cheaper hotels, like Casa Dann (94th Street) have much better spa, swimming pool and jacuzzi areas than this hotel, and an endless buffet breakfast. At any rate, the service at JW Marriott might be an important reason to book there my next trip to Bogotá, the staff is really nice and helpful. In addition, the hotel is comfortably located at reasonable distance from both central and northern Bogotá, it is easy to move around from there, and just at walking distance from great restaurants, bars and entertainment options. I had a wonderful stay.

ColombiaThe staff were not the most attentive. Yoo need to wait longer than expected in the restaurant and the front desk staff was average. I stayed there a week ago and I am still waiting for the bill to be sent to my email. They also haven’t applied my Bonvoy points yet. Definitely needs to be improved.
The hotel was beautiful, clean and the room was really nice and comfortable. Loved that it had a bathtub. the spa was amazing. Great staff and the pool and jacuzzi made the visit even better. The food in the restaurant is really good. Great menu and the breakfast was spectacular.

ColombiaStaff was careless, did not pay attention, running around with other guests, terrible attitude at least with me. Rooms look outdated, furniture is old. It is not worth the price, there are newer and better hotels for half the price or less, with the same or better amenities.
Is a big place, there are different restaurants, food isn't impressive, bed was super comfortable, bathroom had a bath tub perfect for relaxing.

ColombiaI booked a room for my wedding night and although I received the confirmation code and PIN of my reservation from Booking.com, the front desk at the hotel did not found my reservation (which included a special request to have a decorated room). The hotel staff at the front desk reacted in a very rude and unfriendly manner to the situation and unfortunately there was no manager on duty who was able to take care of the situation. At the end, terrible customer service (below Marriot standards) and a very frustated just married couple. Thanks Marriot and Booking.com for ruining my wedding night. Please avoid this hotel (which by the way is in the top 3 of the most expensive hotels in Bogota) and avoid using Booking.com.

PanamaThe staff left working at the hotel is either inexperienced, over worked or simply careless. They have a terrible customer service standard, an unpleasant attitude toward guests and are simply well below the chain’s standard of care. This is particularly true for the restaurant manager and hostesses who consistently rude during our stay. Except for the front desk, the general service level was disgraceful.
Property is well kept despite having shut down during lockdowns. However, facilities are desperately needing renovation, the hotel feels aged.
