Sashii Hostel is a wanderful place, in a great location in Rioacha, near to the seafront. The Hostel is so close to a market where you can find anything you want. The staff is very kind and ready to help you for any request. I also booked an amazing tour of 3 days and 2 nights in Guajira, with the same company that was the best experiance in Colombia. Really reccomanded.

It is a really nice, chill hostel. The workers there are super friendly and are happy to help with everything. You can use the nicely equiped kitchen and they provide oil and salt. The rooms offer air conditioning which is essential in this heat. Also, they have a big tv and offer netflix. Also they offer quality tours of any kind.

There is not a lot of space in the 4 person dorm for luggage and packs so it would be very cramped if full. Luckily there were only two of us in the room when I was there.

I did not have breakfast included in my booking. I decided to pay the COP10,000 extra and was able to choose my preferred breakfast. I got coffee, juice, arepa and eggs. They replaced the papaya on the side with banana which I really appreciated. Food was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The vibe of the other guests was also welcoming and friendly.

everything was perfect! everywhere was clean, nice breakfast, and also the tour to Cabo de la vela was great! it’s definitely worth it. And they kept our luggage while we went on the tour. very close to the beach, the bay and many restaurants! Mario was the real MVP, he is the coolest guide when it comes to Ríoacha.

The hostel was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I booked the 3 day punta gallinas tour with sashii tours (which was an awesome tour) and the owner let me keep my big backpack at the hostel for no charge. The breakfast was good as well, and the hostel is very close to the ocean. Overall, it was excellent!

Jacuzzi/pool not working - only informed after paying. Sun loungers don't have cushions like the pictures would advertise. Dogs- At night when you come back they're like guard dogs and will bark and intimidate you. We couldn't get to the door as we thought they may bite us. Had to call the hostel to let us in.

Very clean, like being at home. Bathrooms have soap in and towels are provided. Great breakfast. Mario who checked us in was very nice and helpful. There's a tour agency attached; we didn't use them but they've lots on offer and can store your luggage whilst you take trips. Complimentary water. Rooms are small if they're full; we had a 4 bed with bathroom and luckily were just 2, otherwise would be a squeeze. Good location to the beachfront. AC in the room.

By the way, if you go to Punta Gallinas (which is really really awesome to do), it is economic and convenient to bring at least 6L of water, and perhaps a lot (really, a lot) of 100, 200 and 500 coins (or cookies and candy if you want to add to the garbage problem and the bad diet of the Wayuu people): the Wayuu along the road practically live by begging and there are many "peajes" between Cabo de La Veda and Punta Gallinas to make sure the tour cars pay their due.

Perfect place to stay in Riohacha, and to start from and to return to if you visit northern Guajira. You can readily arrange tours with their tour company for a normal price (use the booking.com chat if no-one speaks english) and then leave your luggage at the hotel.

Kitchen a little small with limited pots etc, hostel is tight with little space to sit at a table to work but this is not a big deal

Clean, newly renovated & modern, beautiful terrace on the roof, cold drinking water, friendly staff, nice warm shower, fast wifi, two blocks from beach, little shop next door
