The place itself was wonderful, but the people thar made it so much better. Alot of fun activities throughout the day. You won't get bored but also lots of space to disconnect and have solo time. Shoutout to Sam who was very accommodating and helpful, to all the other staff that made this an unforgettable stay.

It was well located. The dormitory was comfortable and the breafast adequate. The social aspect was very good and the attention to detail in terms of tours offered and Salsa dancing all were good.

The community on the hostel is impressive. They gather together so have the best experience in Cali. Everybody makes you feel welcome and show you around to the best places everyday of the week. I have been in Cali a couple of times and by far its the best hostel.

Not the most central location, but the beautiful garden and view makes up for that (and uber is super cheap and easy)!

Nothing it was an amazing experience I was sad to say goodbye

This has been my favourite hostel in 3 months of travelling south america. It has the best atmosphere, the best staff and sweetest volunteers! They organise great activities and the hostel is beautiful presented. Breakfast was delicious with cereal, eggs, bread, peanut butter and eggs etc and there is a lovely cafe in the hostel too. I stayed longer than intended so did a lot of other travellers so expect to stay longer!

Small shelf over the bed and if you’re in the top bunk it’s like climbing the eifle tower to get there.

Felt more like a second home than a hostel. It’s like living in a big villa with friends and great staff. The buffe breakfast makes it feel really homely and they arrange fun activities everyday. Easy to make good friends and the best hostel kitchen I’ve ever had.

Everything was perfect

La palmera is amazing place to stay in Cali. It feels like a green and quiet point in the middle of the city, it has super comfy and clean rooms, a lot of great shared spaces to mingle with the other gusts, and the best thing about the place- Jose and Martina, the owners, that really makes you feel like home. From the moment you will arrive up to the moment you’ll leave (doesn’t matter if it’s a week or 3 months) you gonna feel super home and welcome and know you have someone to help you with everything you need. Thank you so much!!!

Very nice hostel! Rooms are big and ordered, curtains around bed are great. Kitchen facilities are great, and the salsa classes and night time activities are very good. In a safe albeit quiet barrio, and very easy to get an Uber to and from. Lots of seating around the hostel for work, calls etc and the WiFi is excellent. Little fan and light by each room.

I loved everything about the hostel!!! I felt at home very much instantly. The owner José is just the best person ever and he's like the big brother you ever wished for and the most helpful. The beds are comfy, the salsa teachers are amazing, the kitchen is well equipped. The coffee shop serves excellent coffee, which is quite a blessing in the morning after having danced salsa for the whole night. There are free salsa and bachata lessons every day at the rooftop. Hammocks invite you to chill and read a book (if you find the time for it). I was very said when I had to leave.

I stayed in the female dorm so sadly the bathroom often wasn’t cleaned as well as the shared bathrooms upstairs. Top bunk beds are not good a design and difficult to come down safely on the stairs, had to request to be moved to the bottom. Food tour was good but a little overpriced…

General areas were clean, well run, social yet respectful(events every night!) and bright place! The kitchen was big enough for everyone and there are plenty of spaces for chill and work. There is a mirrored dance studio with on-site salsa and bachata teachers were all brilliant, talented and great value! It got hot at night but each bed had a personal fan. Owner was responsive and voluntarily staff helpful!

Feels like a share house more than a hostel! Huge comfy beds, massive lockers, clean bathrooms, lots of lounge areas, tasty make-your-own breakfast, huge kitchen with all the bits and pieces, friendly people, lots of social activities you can choose to take part in, salsa lessons, friendly staff, sick views from the rooftop, a coffee shop inside the hostel and also plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Highly recommend staying here!

Incredible hostel. We weren't planning on going to Cali, but a traveler we met along our journey in Colombia convinced us it was worth it because of this hostel! We were originally planning to stay for 4 nights but stayed for two weeks, so safe to say she was absolutely right. We loved everything about it. The owner, staff, and volunteers were SO friendly and made us feel right at home. The layout was very open, with a lot of places to hang out, relax, work, dance, etc. Everything was very clean, including bathrooms, showers, common areas, rooms. They had a great kitchen that we could use at any time to cook our own meals and we had plenty of place to store our food in shelves & fridge. The salsa teachers were amazing, so we didn't feel the need to go anywhere else for classes (they had paid private and free group classes everyday). Overall it was a very social hostel, with a lot to do, and so many amazing people to meet. But it was also the perfect place to relax and wind down when we didn't feel like doing too much or going out. Can't wait to go back <3

Great, social hostel. Plenty of common spaces to enjoy outside of your room. The kitchen is great with a huge island with 8 burners for cooking. You can cook on either side which was a plus. Well designed! Thank you.

enough areas to hangout, well equipped kitchen, nice staff, basic but okay breakfast, really nice atmosphere (like a little family, everyones learning how to dance together, everyone's going out together,..) I had a really good time and would always come back to this place when I'm back in cali :)
