Magic and green. The property was beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed a warm welcome and got great advice about how to best enjoy our time in the park. After our hike to the beach we had a superb meal and a fun evening playing cards in the communal area. Such a special place. Thank you! Las cuatro chicas!

Quite hot at night and a bit expensive compared to other options outside the park. Note that the place is close to the el zaino entrance and quite far from the Tayrona beaches.

Best place to disconnect and wake up to the singing of birds. Emma and Liliana are the best; they’re like family. The homeowner was exceptionally helpful in providing us with guidance and useful tips and advice. They celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with a beautiful complimentary token of hospitality and treated my wife as royalty; thank you so much!!! Totally recommended.

Everything!! This place really was magical. Beautiful gardens with birds singing. Cabins were done up so nicely spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Food in the restaraunt was excellent. Carlos was so welcoming and friendly making sure I had everything thank you for your amazing hospitality!

Amazing staff- friendly, welcoming. Felt like home in Tayrona because of them. Great location in the park, with restaurant on site and a few more just a few minutes away. So many birds at Magic Green. It's very quiet at this location - and a lovely getaway from the city or beach.

We really liked that the property was within the park. The hosts were awesome. Carlos helped us with transportation when leaving the park and was always available with any additional requests or questions. The grounds of the property are beautiful as well.

We had such great stay at Magic Green. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and we even had our own shower and bathroom. Even If we got sick a little during our stay, everybody was so nice and friendly and Carlos and team helped us out with tea and good food. Thank you very much, WE Loved it :)

Fantastic place to stay just into the park. The food was great and the staff were super helpful our late arrival due to a flight delay. Could not fault the staff. Despite our limited Spanish we were able to get by just fine. Big thanks to everyone for persevering with our broken Spanish. We loved our stay, we were even joined for breakfast by a parrot.

Great location in the middle of the jungle, beautiful well-maintaned garden full of tropical flora and birds, perfect for chilling in the hammock. Nice and helpful staff, home atmosphere. Great food, zero waste policy 👌 spacious bathroom.

Magical peaceful scenery, helpful staff, comfortable beds. Close to the entrance of the park so easy to get to with heavy bags. One perk is that you always get a space on the empty buses coming back from the drop off spot so you skip the huge queues at the entrance.

Magic Green is a beautiful place to stay in Tayrona. The cabins are surrounded by lush greenery and colourful plants. There is a pool which is very refreshing in the heat. We ate breakfast and dinner there and it was the best food we’ve had in Colombia. Most of all, the staff are just lovely. Carlos is a very warm and kind person and was happy to help us with anything we needed. Thank you for making our stay so magical (and helping us with our Spanish!!!)

Unfortunately there is no free transfer from the entrance to the eco lodge so you have to pay the van to go in for the first few minutes and then walk for 5/10minutes with the luggage.

This is a must!! The family running this place is so nice, friendly and helpful! The stay is around 15min walk inside the park or 5min van. It is so quiet and peaceful. We had dinner here on both nights and it was delicious!! They have a generator which runs from 7pm till 10pm, but in a place like this you must appreciate these things. Thanks for having us!!

just to note that you are in the jungle so the generator turns off at 10pm and you sleep surrounded by the sounds of the jungle and there is no fan so we just slept on top of the bed with the mosquito net. so if you go to the toilet in the night just make sure you have your phone flashlight. the location is in the park (so the point of this is that you can visit the beaches in the park for more than one day without having to pay the park entrance fee twice). it’s on a turning off the road after the entrance gates at el zaino. so it is inside the park, but it is located before the start of the hikes where the colectivo’s drop you. if you walk from the entrance gates to the hostel, most of it is a tarmac road, and it’s only the last turning for 5 minutes where you turn onto a track rather than a road. so when going into the park, you can either walk back to the entrance gates (15-20 mins) to get a colectivo to the start of the hikes, or walk the first bit of the road to get to the start of the hikes (30-40 min). the road is a bit boring to walk but we did see monkeys!

had an amazing stay here and we were looked after so well by the family, they couldn’t do enough for you. the dinner and breakfast were really nice. we had a whole fried fish both nights with plantain, rice and salad, and eggs and arepa in the mornings with pineapple. we were made to feel really at home and it was so nice to come back and chill after spending the day in the parque. the wifi didn’t work while we were there, and there was no phone signal but we didn’t mind and enjoyed having a detox. showering in the outside showers is really nice and refreshing. the whole place just added to the experience of being in the jungle and was probably one of our highlights of Colombia.

This was a peaceful property which was a last minute booking as my other plans fell through. The hammocks were great and Javier was most helpful setting them up in various places for my pleasure. It’s location just inside the Tayrona park is ideal if you want to go in and out on the same day.

Everything was very calming here. Hosts and workers were very accommodating. They bought our tickets for us and helped us get in to the park after dark. Explained the park to us and helped us get around. Breakfast was great. Huts were really cute.

Be aware that the location of this guesthouse is about 40 minutes walking from the nearest beaches and the trail head for going to Cabo San Juan. We didn't mind the walk at all because there's a lot of jungle to look at, but maybe if you want to skip this first section on the main road to the trail head, you can walk back to the park entrance (about 15 mins) and catch a shuttle there for 5000 pesos and on your way back ask them to drop you at Magic Green. Also be aware that the open character of the building means you can hear the other guests who sleep in the same open structure, but luckily in our case everyone was very quiet and there is sufficient privacy (you don't see the other guests from your room). Finally, at the end of our stay we were asked to tip the staff. I am fine with tipping but would rather see this included in the bill / total price, because it was confusing as to how much we should give and it's not nice to be confronted with extra cost at the end of the stay.

This guesthouse is situated on beautifully kept grounds, in a large garden full of trees and flowers. We stayed in the main building which contains a number of rooms that are all open to the outside air. We got woken up by the sounds of the forest every morning (birds and monkeys) and enjoyed our (cold) open air showers while gazing at the stars. The owner Javier is friendly and even though he doesn't speak English it is easy to communicate with him and he gave us some helpful advice about how to spend our time in the park. The restaurant area is a nice place to sit, there are hammocks as well. There is power and wifi during the day and evenings (not at night) and it all worked well when we were there. Breakfast is rather simple but tasty (some fruit, eggs and toast or arepa). Dinners were good for my omnivorous partner - for me as a vegetarian I was served the same thing twice (rice with salad and plantain), would have been nice to see some variety. I liked how this place was in the middle of the jungle, far away from any sounds of modern civilisation. And there was a little puppy! We didn't try the pool because it was occupied with kids every time we tried.It is more of a plunge pool than for actual swimming but it looked like a nice and refreshing way to cool off after a warm day in the park. In general this is a great place for families, kids will love it.

location is a bit far from the main parking area in Tayrona where most of the beach trails start, so you’ll need to either walk 30-40 minutes there or hop on a collectivo to get there. but, the plus side is Magic Green has a very peaceful and quiet location!

we stayed here for two nights to visit Tayrona National Park. the owners and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and the dinner we purchased each night was delicious! the beds were also very comfortable.
