Stuart is a superhost, flexible and helps with all enquiries. Amazing seaview, reasonable pricing, comfortable rooms, some with good working air cons, others with strong Fans. We prefer rooms without air condition. A lovely beach right in front of the house, sunbeds with possible shadow. Bars and restaurants in direct neighbourhood. We will be back by chance.

Choose an upstairs room with sea view if you can. The room on the ground floor is fine but a bit noisy if people in the common area.

Perfect location, right on the beach. Super chilled village and lots to do (as well as laze around in hammocks). Go on the plankton tour and the sloth/mangrove walk/boat ride for sure. Rincon food surprisingly good - everything from basic grilled fish/prawn/lobster at Dubai to upmarket dining at Che. Both recommended. Eric is extremely helpful and a great host.

Nice room with a beautiful view to the sea. Enjoyed morning coffees on the balcony very much. Erick was super helpful with organising everything we wanted (transport, tours etc.). Rincon is a great place to spend some relaxed beach time.

Beds are too soft so when suffering from the back they proved to be painful to sleep on.

The beds were a bit hard, but we only really noticed this after three nights of sleeping.

Perfect place to relax. The hostel is right on the beach and there are a lot of local restaurants and bars within walking distance to grab a beer or enjoy a good meal. The rooms were very clean. Waking up to the sound of the sea and watching the sunset every night is a dream!

very nice location with a wonderful sea view. The owner speaks English and Spanish fluently and is always here to help. We forgot our swimsuits and he sent them to us straight away. The bed is very confortable and many restaurants are located nearby if you want a natural juice or a beer to relax. I would definitely recommend this place. thank you again !!

Had a lovely stay and really appreciate the friendly hosts who've been supporting us with all kinds of needs and providing us with everything we could ask for. This place really got us in vacation mood. Highly recommended! Bonus is that this is one of few places speaking English as well as Spanish, and they accept card if needed.

Our rooms previous occupants went on a boat trip when they should have checked out so they checked out an hour late. So with that and the room needing cleaning this meant our check in was 2 hours late which was not ideal after an overnight bus from Medellín. It's not the owners fault but I thought it was very rude and inconsiderate of the previous guests.

Loved it here. Great communication from the owner. Great location right on the beach. Our room was lovely and had sunset views. Really comfortable bed. We would wake up. Make coffee and retire to the hammocks outside our room. A perfect place to spend Christmas.

The only flaw I saw about the place is that you can get a little uncomfortable by the noise of other residents of the house, it seems the walls aren't thick enough to be noise-proof.

Great place to stay by the shore! The views were extraordinary and the staff and people around are really kind and helpful. They never seek to prey you on! Very comfortable place with all commodities needed, you can do many things like swimming, going on tours to different islands, have a delicious lunch and drink as many cocktails as you can bear at a reasonable cost. This places makes Cartagena look so overrated

we would’ve loved it if they offered breakfast, which they don’t. also the beach is not as nice as on the pictures.

it’s located directly at the beach and quite new compared to the other hostels in the area. the kitchen is well equipped and we liked the vibe in Rincon Del Mar. The food you can buy at the local stores is quite cheap but you will need to bring cash since barely anyone accepts cards.

We liked everything!

Awesome place to stay. We came for 1 night and ended up staying 3. The hotel has just been renovated and all the rooms are new. They have the best beds we have slept on while in Colombia. Stuart the owner is great, he speaks both Spanish and English and is a wealth of information for the area, he sent a message to us when we had booked with all the logistical information we needed to arrive at the hotel and how much to pay for transport from san Onofre. the Moto taxi or Tuk tuk drop you right outside the place - no long walk with your bags like some of the other places in Rincon. Once we arrived he gave us all the tips for where to eat and what to do. He also booked our trip out to the islands at no extra cost and the boat picked us up in the morning right in front of the hotel. He also let us store our bags overnight while on the island. The place is absolute beach front. They have chairs and day beds right in front of hotel on the beach for you to enjoy while you sip on that pina colada. The view from the room and your private balcony is amazing. Stop looking and book your stay at Mamallena, it’s by far the best option at Rincon del Mar. Grab yourself a sea view room if you can, You won’t regret. 5 stars!

the check-in procedure and the lack of information about necessary things, for example: the procedures of cleaning the rooms how to use the toilet/shower the use of the kitchen facilities the "reception's" opening/closing hours - we almost couldn't get in on the second night at 9.30 pm! AND some other improvements to consider: the shower (it worked pretty poorly) there was sand everywhere inside the building - cleaning is needed more often fixing somewhere to store valuables like money/cards/passports hiring someone who speaks more than one language (Spanish) and who likes giving good service/info
