Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaAlthough in the park, the hotel is still a very far way from trails and the beach.
The property is inside the park boundaries so if you want to the enjoy the park more than one day, you don't have the hassle of the entry requirements (ie 3 lines to wait in), but is still a long walk to any of the points of interest in the park. The property itself if OK for birding (the reason I was there) but too far from the trails with the interesting endemics. My room was clean and comfortable.

United KingdomLocated inside the park, so you pay entry once and can access the park for however many days you stay here. Easy to hop on / off colectivos to get to main walking track for the beaches. Great option for a more comfortable stay within the park, friendly staff with good dinner options. Very peaceful place to stay!

ColombiaAll good considering it is inside the park.
The hotel is inside Tayrona park, it has everything you need. Breakfast is very nice. The staff is attentive and helpful. The location is ideal, close the main entrance of the park. It is surrounded by nature. The closest beach is Piscinita which is 10 min from the main parking.

ItalyI was a little sick at some point and asked for a bed (ready to pay it) for 4-5 hours after the checkout from my room. The lady did not want it, and granted me a hammock instead. :):). I would have greatly appreciated more empathy. Nevertheless I felt good on the hammock, better than a chair :):)
It's like being in Paradise, plants, flowers, birds, lovely small rooms and open restaurant, the cooking Is delicious, the atmosfere very peaceful. The rooms are very basic, but clean. They are extremely cheap, so for me the final judgement Is perfect. Highly recommended.

IrelandThe mosquito net wasn't big enough to cover the bed which made sleeping quite uncomfortable. For a double bed a four poster net would be a lot better!
The staff in Jasayma were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Our evening meal was fantastic, I had the fried fish and it was absolutely delicious.

United StatesCharging for water in an area frequented by hikers and outdoor enthusiasts kind of stinks. Bags of 5 liters of water only cost 3,000 COP right outside the park entrance.
Check in was easy and they were able to accomodate us being a little bit early. Very quiet and basic hotel. We liked being able to go on a long walk up the park access road in the late afternoon looking for wildlife. We had planned on walking to the trail start, but the hotel isn't very far from where the shuttles park, so we just took the shuttle in the morning.

ItalyIt would be great if they could sell bigger bottles of waters, they had only small ones, a bit expensive. Room is basic but ok.
We arrived in the morning and the receptionist gave us a thorough explanation of the trekking possibilities. Good mosquito nets in the room. Nice to sleep only with the sounds of the jungle only. Dinner was not included for us, but we ordered a very good dish.

United KingdomBe aware that whilst the accommodation is within Tayrona NP, it is much closer to the entrance of the Park than the beaches (approx 4km up the entrance road) so if staying here and walking to beaches it is still quite far and definitely not as convenient as staying in the hammocks/tents by the beach. Also be aware that the owners/workers speak no English and food menus etc all are in Spanish only so it may be difficult to communicate if you speak no spanish. No mosquito nets provided despite shown on photographs - we asked if a net could be provided but given the location/remoteness, it could only be arranged for the following night, which in mosquito season could be quite dangerous - my advice would be to contact ahead and request a net in advance. But really the accommodation should provide this as srandard practice given it is a yellowfever risk area. On arrival we were offered drinks (water, juice) following the long hike etc and late check in, we assumed this would be free as a welcome refreshment but it was added to our bill. Cold shower but as you'd expect. In saying this i would still overall really recommend this accommodation!
The hut was comfortable accommodation if you don't want to sleep in the tents or hammocks at Tayrona beaches - just be aware of location, not as close to beaches at you think. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was huge. Nice outside hammocks to chill in. Food was really tasty and fresh and complementary fresh fruit smoothies provided with breakfast. Shared dining area so opportunity to meet other travellers.

United StatesMy private room with bathroom (#7) was spare. It lacked basic things: bath mat, a hook or two to hang things up, a light in the bathroom, more than one electric outlet. The curtains were not dark enough, as you can see my silhouette from the outside at night if the room light was on. The mosquito net was too short. Having the fan on even at the lowest setting blew the net's ends up. I had to decide between being hot or being bitten. As the room felt damp and stuffy, I opted for having the fan on. WiFi is slow in common area and non-existent in the room. I did get a peek at the private rooms with shared bathroom on the second floor. While also spartan, they were airier and more spacious. That might be the way to go. At the end of the day, though, I wished I stayed closer to the beach area. Jasayma is a 4-km walk to the beach trails. With its location so close to the park entrance and right next to the road (and all its noises), I might as well have been staying in town and gotten something that was better value.
Nice, helpful staff, especially Lina. Well-kept grounds.
