Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MexicoReally nice jungle experience with all the Confort that you could have in the middle of the Tyrona Park. Nice breakfast, great staff and without insects in the room!

United KingdomThe host was not flexible enough with us. At first, we booked the place for three nights. Thereafter (three days before check-in), we've come up with a change of plans, and we asked if it would be possible to change for two nights: request was denied, and they charged our fees straight away. They didn't provide drinking water for free. The wifi would only work in the dining/resting area, and it would be a bit slow most of the time.
The room was very clean, considering we were in the middle of the park (no mosquitos or other bugs). The breakfast was good (for the money we paid): every day, we'd get eggs + fruit + juice + coffee + toast/arepas. The hostel was just a 15m walk distance from the entrance of the park (where we'd get a van to go to the start of the trails)

United StatesBe warned that this hotel is very rustic - VERY rustic. We are campers and were expecting the separate toilet and shower building. Again, rustic but clean (and the toilets are flush toilets). The shower stopped just this side of warm. All this would have been fine, but our room, and the four "family" rooms - 2 beds - are up a very difficult flight of stairs with NO RAILING! The steps are on the outside of the building, big steps that are hard for someone with short legs or uncertain balance. A fall onto the concrete below would be deadly. It would be easy to add a railing to make it safer. Our room itself was almost bare aside from the beds. Only one small wooden box and a mirror for furnishings. Even a plastic chair would be nice. The walls are only partial. The other guests were very quiet when we were there.
We loved being in the jungle, although the road down into the park was fairly close. The staff was really wonderful and friendly. It's a very peaceful, laid-back vibe, closer to a hostel than a hotel or lodge. I LOVED that they didn't feel the need to fill the space with loud music. Just jungle sounds. Our room was open-air (mosquito nets on the beds). After being cooped up in hotel rooms, being surrounded by fresh air and waking up to birdsong was balm for the soul. In the evening guests congregate quietly in the dining area. Bring cash for dinner, as the internet is too weak for credit cards.

United KingdomWe were aware staying in Tayrona would come with limitations, and we knew our room specifically was essentially open to the elements but with a roof over your head. What we didn’t understand was the proximity to the other 3 rooms you share the top floor with, which don’t have a ceiling, and headboards literally all adjoin the other rooms, so you hear everything - every cough and whisper. You are basically sharing the same room, you just can’t see each other. The mosquito net on the double was too small to properly cover the foot and head with two people, so we ended deciding to sleep in the spare single as well. The plastic under sheet and pillows on the bed were also pretty grim. The other staff were a bit disengaged and unprofessional (we thought maybe having “in” jokes but hard to understand) and the food is very average compared to what we’ve been eating elsewhere across Colombia.
Nori is the star of the show here. Genuinely never met a friendlier and more energetic host, who gives time to each guest. She speaks in a Spanish that’s really easy to understand, and learn from! Even for us who do not speak Spanish. Thank you for your service and smile! The shared toilets and showers were really good and cleaned regularly. The location being near El Zaino entrance to the park is great and also regular shuttles take you to the hiking start point for a small fee which is helpful!

GermanyWe liked everything.
We had a great stay at Jasayma. We were welcomed really nicely and everything about the hotel and the Parque Tayrona was explained to us. The staff speaks English and Spanish. The bathrooms were clean (as clean as outdoor facilities can be), the rooms were also really clean and beds comfortable. We stayed on the first floor with is an open space without windows and it was amazing. We were woken up but the sound of howler monkeys everyday and could hear the sounds of the wildlife during the night. Such a great experience. The breakfast was really good and the rest of the food was also okay. It's located near the entrance but you can take a collectivo to the starting points of all the hikes/walks to the playas.

Just as others have written, very nice place, very friendly host, great food, bathroom and showers nice and clean. We liked it as a starting point for the tayrona n.p.: arriving in the early afternoon, no crowds at the entrance, went to a close beach in the afternoon/evening and hiked the next day inside.

GermanyOur stay was very nice and we enjoyed it very much, especially the young lady DANI helped us a lot. Her speaking fluent english is a great advantage. Also her advices for a nice stay in the park were amazing. So we were able to enjoy the most beautiful beaches and the great wildlife and history of this unique place. Dani was very attentive until the end and fulfilled all of our wishes. Also the food after an exciting day was amazing. The two lady’s who cooked for us were very nice and served a delicious meal.
