We loved the experience of simple and peaceful living in a very charming Homestay. The family are very welcoming, discreet and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to stay. The garden and local walk/swim in the river is enchanting.

We loved our stay in Posada la Ofelia.✨ It’s the perfect place to stay if you’re planning to visit tayrona park and some beaches nearby. Since the place is really in the middle of the jungle, we saw lots of animals, while hiking to the posada and in the posada itself. (we didn’t see animals in tayrona park btw) Also, food is just amazing! We had dinner everynight in the house. Best meals we had during our trip. Javier is a great and lovely host. Posada la Ofelia feels like staying with a family member. The house is beautiful and you can enjoy watching birds and monkeys while having breakfast. The food is all homemade and tastes amazing. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely come back again!

The walk from the bus to the hotel late at night is pretty dark (bring your flashlight), and may limit certain activities. Rooms are not very private.

Bring a good pair of shoes! Beautiful location, 20' min walk to the bus that takes you to Santa Marta (1 hr away), the Tayrona park entrances (10 min away), costeño beach (10 min away)... great takeoff point if you want to visit these areas. The finca is well kept, tucked away in nature in the woods, lots of wildlife to see. The hosts are great, meals are 25000 pesos and delicious, Javier has lots of stories and wisdom to share. Family and community vibe to the place, great place to meet others and share travel experiences. Rooms are pretty basic but comfortable with mosquito nets. For an authentic and restful experience in nature.

One of the most magical places I have ever been lucky enough to stay in. Don Javier is a gem, the food was delicious, and the property was absolutely magical! Also, he makes the best food in all of Colombia.

This place is paradise. I have never stayed somewhere as magical, beautiful and accommodating as Posada Ofelia. It's difficult to describe in words, you just have to stay here. The crystal clear rivers, walks through the jungle and passionfruit vines, the two beautiful dogs Pollo and Paka, the sensational home cooked Colombian food (we stayed for 12 nights and the food was different and unique every time), and most of all the incredible hospitality from Esperanza and Javier. I can't thank you both enough for creating such a special place. I can't wait to return and give you both a big hug. If you're reading this please stay here!

Family run, Javier and Esperanza are wonderful, attentive hosts. You feel like part of the family immediately upon arrival. Dinner and breakfast are fabulous, you can watch birds, hummingbirds. Great location also for excursions to Tayrona National Park.

Realize it is about 700 m from the road, and uphill at the end. Rooms are very simple and next to each other, however, we felt comfortable.

Liked the property - fruit trees, not manicured, natured and in tune with nature - full of mangos, coconut, cocoa, and other trees. Birding was great - all you have to do is go to the top floor and watch the birds! Javier, the owner, clearly loves being a host, will introduce you to an amazing Spanish music playlist, and is proud of his property. His partner, Esperanza was lovely! Very accommodating. Great positive vibe of the place! If you want to spend a quiet day at the river, it is a great spot - sit on rocks and take dips in the river to cool off. They have 2 "therapy dongs and a therapy cat".

Amazing location at the end of the road, so peaceful. Comfy bed with mosquito net provided, extremely friendly hosts, only 3 rooms so max 6 people staying there which makes it that bit more friendly and personal. Surrounded by nature. Shop and restaurants maybe 15 mins walk away on the main road with the option to eat at Ofelia too. Just perfect!

Everything. We came for one night and stayed there 7 nights! This was our the best stay in Colombia with so nice viwes and terase with hammocks, also the best food we eat in Colombia was here. Javier and Yamaira are the best cookers ever. It was also very clean and they changed sheets and towels every day!! Also the best juices here👌water,coffe was free. We would definitely come back! The location is absolutely spectacular. The 20min walk into the jungle crossing rivers is really fun and not too hard, with the goal to arrive to beautiful Ofelia. Javier welcomed us as part of his family and we had incredible 6 nights there. Would recommend as a 10/10 experience. We even saw tucans one of our last evenings! As well as monkeys nearby. What we enjoyed the most was having dinner and breakfast together as well as with the other guests. Was very hard to leave but we will come back :)

Seeing the comercialiced places that come up all around this oasis near the parque Tayrona.

The unique place is one of the most calm and beautiful place i have come across on my travels in colombia. Everything is made with so much love. The food from the own amazing garden, the juices, the accomandation. The entrance to the parque Tayrona is not far and no problem to walk there.

Javier was an extremely welcoming and kind host. Each morning and night they prepared delicious meals, and Javier is very knowledgeable about the plant and animal species surrounding his beautiful property and took time to show us the toucans and monkeys that we could see directly from the porch. The place was very clean and well organized. It is perfectly located up on the hill in the jungle. The beds were extremely comfortable, we had some of the best sleeps during all of our trip. We wish we had stayed longer!
