The only thing I would like to see improved is the lighting in the room. Our room was quite dark with only one very dirty window, covered all the time with a dark curtain. The only light source (very common in South America) is a single bulb in the center of the ceiling. No ambient lighting. Lying in the bed with the light on is like being in a police interrogation from the movies. Also having an electrical outlet on each side of the bed would be great, as now everyone has devices to charge.

Simple, comfortable, but very basic accommodation. Very good AC which is a must. Very fast wifi which helps these days. The common kitchen was well enough supplied that we cooked almost all our meals, though a knife sharpener would have helped a lot. The buses to and from the town that travel the east side of the island pass right in front (half a block) from the hostel and make transport easy. Monica, the manager is as accommodating and helpful as one could want. If we return to San Andres I would happily stay at Ohana Hostal again

Nice accommodation very close to the best beaches in San Andrés. Mónica was really friendly and always willing to help with whatever I may need. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is an a quieter part of San Andres but it's easy and cheap to catch the bus to the main part of town. The owner Monica was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had such as arranging a taxi from the airport to the guesthouse. The room was spacious and was very clean.

There are dogs that are active from 5am onwards, if this disturbs you then maybe look elsewhere, we were ok with it and found them very friendly just very early risers, sometimes before the cockerals :-)

The Location was out of town but central to all activities on the island and buses were every 15 minutes from the main road which was aprox 100m from the house. we were 20 minutes from Main town, 4,000 cop for the bus. we could walk 5 minutes to San Luis beach or 20 minutes to Rocky Cay. Plenty of Supermarkets and Eateries near by, if you dont want to be in the middle of town then this is a great option

It's a bit far from the town (Centro) so whenever you want to go there it's a relatively expensive ride in a rarely available taxi. There is also a bus, but not very frequent.

Located close to 2 nice beaches and La Piscinita, and it has a nice garden / patio to sit. Monica is a very friendly host, gave us some information about the island. Wifi was good. You can walk to the beaches, breakfast places and the old church.

Hard to think of anything we didn't like here. Generally perfect for us.

Best location in San Andres, far from the touristy centro. Playa San Luis was a 5 minute walk. Close restaurants and stores. Monica was the best host ever. The room was super clean and spacious. Two kitchens, both well stocked. Good wifi. Very safe area. The neighborhood comes alive on the weekend with local food in people's yards or Lydia Restaurant.

Staff we very helpful and friendly. Property has everything you need and was secure. Nice beach with restaurants (although all closed by 5/6ish) are 10 mins walk. Breakfast restaurant 5 mins walk.

No hot water! - not what you want after volunteering with street dogs all day. Noisy area: dog barking incessantly in the morning, people in yards talking and playing music in evening, people in other rooms with TV on loud - very thin walls. AC didn't work and I was moved to smaller room without price credit.

My room had bugs in it, she had to fumigate. When I arrived, there was water damage for 2-3hrs so I couldn’t shower after my flight. At night (9pm), the neighbours music was so loud I couldn’t sleep and the walls were shaking from the bass. She advised me to notify police. The bunkbeds sheets had dust on them. Did not feel comfortable leaving my stuff on the counter or floor because of the bugs.

Staff was lovely. She helped get a taxi on my check-out day. She was very helpful and patient. Near the beach. Wifi worked great too.

the location is great if you want to be outside of the noisy hustle bustle of the city, while also easy to get into the city, very close to local bus that goes all around the island. 5 mins walk to beautiful beaches! In a quiet neighborhood, mini market also very close. Facilities are clean and well taken care of! Air condition works well! WiFI is great! Monica, the host, is incredibly helpful and and quick to respond to all questions and needs!!! Please do yourself a favor and stay at ohana lodge when you visit San Andres!
