The building needs maintenance.. a repaint etc. Its obviously its a dated building. The breakfast in the restaurant need some updating. Sometimes by the end of the breakfast shift they will not fill things back if its lacking. Maybe a little bit more international/continental breakfast. That the regular chicken wings with mini arepas. Scrambled egg and plantain.... hardly any bread and only 1 type of juice offered. The bar area is closed since 9pm. So don't expect entertainment or cocktails on property. The gym facility is small and warm. No more spa on location. Back in its hay day it would have bean a wonderful place... but now a days if all that doesn't matter to you its. A comfortable clean room at a great price to stay at in Barranquilla.

The fact that upon arrival the Front office clerk was very warm and welcoming. She showed us some options of rooms.so we could have choose from. The taxi facilities parked outside ready to go at any given time is a plus. The rooms a big clean and comfortable.

First room had musty smell from air conditioner. That was disappointing. 2nd room had bathtub in larger room, but is appeared dirty and cracks throughout. I would not take a bath in that tub. Was quite disappointed.

Staff overall were very friendly and accommodating in every way. They went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. For example they served us dinner on the patio by the pool on request. That was fantastic!

While there were many positive aspects of my experience, such as the excellent breakfast options and the friendly demeanor of the staff, I feel it is important to bring to your attention a few areas where improvements could be made. Room Condition: I noticed that the rooms appeared to be quite dated, and it was evident that renovations were underway during my stay. While I appreciate the efforts being made to improve the accommodations, the aging air conditioning units, broken or malfunctioning toiletries, and the lack of hygiene in the bathroom sink were notable concerns. Bedding and Furniture: The bed sheets showed signs of wear and tear, with noticeable stains, indicating a need for replacement. Additionally, some of the furniture, such as the sofas and refrigerator, appeared outdated and could benefit from an upgrade. Maintenance Issues: There were noticeable cracks and uneven flooring in several areas of the room, which detracted from the overall comfort and aesthetic appeal. Furthermore, upon entering the main room, there was an unpleasant odor that was somewhat off-putting. I understand that maintaining and updating a property can be a complex endeavor, and I offer these observations in the spirit of constructive feedback. I believe that addressing these concerns could further enhance the overall guest experience at Hotel Faranda Express Puerta Del Sol. Considering these factors, I would currently rate my experience as a 2-star accommodation. However, I firmly believe that with focused efforts on addressing the areas mentioned, Hotel Faranda Express Puerta Del Sol has the potential to achieve a higher rating and become a reputable 4-star establishment.

First and foremost, I must commend the hotel team for the remarkable breakfast offerings. Each morning brought a delightful surprise with a new variety of options, including a range of healthy choices that exceeded my expectations. It was refreshing to start each day with such a delicious and nutritious meal. Additionally, I want to highlight the exemplary service provided by your staff. Their friendliness and professionalism were evident in every interaction, contributing significantly to the overall enjoyment of my stay. Moreover, the hotel's location proved to be highly convenient. Being centrally located amidst shopping malls and other stores made it effortless to explore the area and access amenities nearby, further enhancing the overall experience.
