Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumMany thanks to Alfredo, who manages a lovely crew on this beautiful island refuge. Punta Norte is quiet, colourful and clean. The women run the kitchen and prepare fresh fish and seafood. Aspiring marine biologist Miguel took us for an excursion to see jellyfish in a laguna nearby, a snorkeling trip we loved. Waking up from the sound of the waves every morning and taking a swim before breakfast ... We had a wonderful time.

SpainA point to note is that the hotel is very quiet in the evening...dinner is served to everybody in the hotel at 7 and there is little activity after this time . You cannot walk around Tintipan so you are isolated in the hotel however the hotel do offer boat transfers to islands close by if you wish to explore which we did and thoroughly enjoyed.
Quiet ,family run hotel in stunning location with sunrise and sunset views from the room which was lovely .Fresh fish and seafood from the menu every day... the food in the evening was excellent. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay .

ColombiaEverything was just perfect
Amazing place. Way better and bigger than what pictures show, with many cozy nooks for those who need some privacy. It’s definitely not a party place. It’s calm and serene, thank God no blasting music and noisy crowds! Just the sound of the waves. Owners treated us like family members, they are awesome and open people. Don’t miss short snorkeling and plankton tours! Price is fair and they’re totally worth it. If you don’t have masks for snorkeling, you can rent them there. Oh, and I didn’t mention food! Try everything in their menu, Yeimy is an outstanding cook. I especially recommend the crab and prawns with maracuyá. Some things to consider: - It’s a remote place, there is no signal. There’s WiFi only at the restaurant. - Rooms are basic and simple, no hot water, no lockers, no aircons, you even can’t lock the door. There is a fan in every room but we almost didn’t use it, nights aren’t that hot. - Guest rooms get energy from solar panels only at night. Electricity is off all day long, but you can charge your gadgets at the restaurant area. Fully charged powerbank will be useful. None of that was a problem for us, we spent 4 fantastical days there and definitely will come back.

IrelandNo AC (although the fan was fine). Nowhere to really go for a walk on the island was a small flaw.
Beautiful hotel on a really peaceful part of Tintipan island. The food here is absolutely amazing !!! Had fresh fish for lunch and had crab pasta for dinner. We saw the crab being brought into the restaurant 3 hours before we had dinner from a local fishing boat! Amazing.

United StatesThe beds are very comfortable and no air conditioning made it hard to sleep, but we new it was going to be more like glamping than a luxury hotel… and we’re glad we chose to stay there.
The food was excellent! The staff bent over backwards to give us the best stay. It truly made our vacation one of a kind. They even hand delivered a margarita to my room!

CanadaThe location was amazing. There were several little beaches and an assortment of hang-out areas with hammocks, swing chars, benches, etc. You can go out snorkeling directly from the hotel shore. We saw many varieties of fish and some coral. The manager and staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food was excellent, the beds were comfortable.

BelgiumDon’t be afraid of little beast like small sand crabs. They might come to visit you during the night 😁 Water flow from the shower is pretty tiny but if sea is enough for you go for it, you won’t regret!
Staff was just wonderful and the location is amazing. Lots of place for cocooning and nice spots for snorkeling. Really quiet and isolated from the crowded main beach. Amazing room from our bed. Food could not be more fresh (especially seafood) and was really good. Thanks for the fishing with the kids, and the time spent together, we had a wonderful stay

United KingdomThe paint from the table in our room has stained a lot of our clothes as the room gets a lot of sea spray so everything was wet for a lot of the night.
Loved the location, the staff are lovely, the food is delicious (on the more expensive side but worth it) feels very secluded which is exactly what we wanted. Had a really special couple of days.

FinlandSuch a beautiful and special place to stay. I had a room with my own patio/deck by the water. That was soooo nice. You cant go snorkling very far as there are boat lanes but you can still snorkle a bit in the shallow parts. You cant get anywhere walking, only by boat (which is cheap) or by renting a kayak. I loved to stay two nights in this spot: eat well, read in the hammocks, soak in the amazing turqoise water <3

PortugalHave in mind it’s quite rustic due the location. They don’t have water refill so if you drink good amounts of water and want to reduce plastic take an extra big bottle with you. Settle expectations with wifi since there’s none (they can hotspot you in case you need to connect but that’s all). Also the water pressure is really weak (both in sink and shower) so you’ll have to patient with that. They have settled times for meals (which at first seemed a bit annoying but honestly it makes total sense so they can prepare everything for you, and time is so gracefully slow there, that you won’t mind)! Its not ideal for solo travelers since it’s mostly couples. I think 2-3 nights it’s the best timing! The bathrooms could definitely use some refurbishment! In overall, it was a really good time. I’d highly recommend!
The location is absolutely unique and stunning. They’re good is also amazing! The owner is a sweetheart and the manager is always around to help out in case you need!

United KingdomIt was our anniversary and my partners birthday while we stayed. I wrote this in the “special requests” although they didn’t arrange anything special. The night of his birthday we saw a table being decorated with balloons etc, but it was for someone else. It would have been nice for them to arrange something - even the lobster went to another couple. Would also be better to have refillable water rather than the plastic bottles. A suggestion to inform guests not to stand up on the coral. There is some beautiful coral and a lot of regeneration in the sea grass areas, but we saw many guests standing up to fix their masks etc. We found this really sad, but not the hotels fault.
Location is amazing, staff are lovely. Some amazing sea life you can see by snorkelling right off the hotel.

The facility is a small resort, with very few guests which makes it so relaxing, but still with opportunities to meet other travelers. The staff was fantastic, making sure we had everything we needed. Lots of great cooking, the food was delicious! The main activities were swimming, snorkeling, and just relaxing. United KingdomThe location is spectacular I loved falling asleep to the waves crashing against the deck. The hotel is surrounded on 3 sides by the sea. The fish could not have been fresher it arrives at the jetty every morning. Delicious cocktails made with fresh juice. Great muffin-type arepas for breakfast. There are only a few rooms so it's very easy to make friends with the other guests. The sea is so clean and warm I didn't want to leave this special place.
