How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I would say that it is an easy place to stay at. The people took my USD and gave me change back at 35k to $10. There is breakfast which is fair. The door key is a pain in the butt but thats because im not used to it.
I would suggest staying here. Super clean. Hot water. Across from bus terminal. Super Safe. Has Hot Water. 30 taxis within 1 minute walk. Street food. Bus to las lajas only $1 and 3 minute walk to micro bus in terminale. TV. Lots of blankets. Compared to the town, I would stay here.

It is a bit noisy in the room and some car fumes get in, but that is to be expected in a central location like that.
The location is right by the bus terminal, making it easy to travel on or to go to Ipiales. Supermarket in walking distance. Friendly staff, felt safe all the time.

Bed was a bit small but I think it was the room we booked.
Short walk to bus station and taxis/collectivos. Staff was nice. It was chilly and enough blankets were provided. Great value for our 1 night stay.

Since this town is known to be dangerous, we didn’t want to venture out at night to eat dinner and the hotel does not have a restaurant. But, we had dehydrated meals on-hand, so made it work!
It’s a three minute walk from the bus terminal! This was so helpful since our bus got in at 8pm and we had to leave the next morning at 7am. The staff were very accommodating and heated up water for us so we could eat our backpacker dinner and breakfast meals. Would recommend!

Very sketchy neighborhood. But all of Ipiales is pretty sketchy. GIven that, the security, safety and comfort of this place is excellent!
Best location! You couldnt get closer to the bus terminal. Given the area, this place is an absolute 10! Best value bar none!

Comfortable accommodation directly across from the bus terminal. The room and bathroom were clean and the shower had nice hot water. The staff were attentive and helpful.

Strict check in by 1900, bed and room a bit small but given the price that is not a problem.
Very close to the bus station, so good for Las Lajas and onward travel. Great price, very secure.

The room was slightly cold and the shower was cold on the evening but in the morning it was hot

No complaints really, the shower was perhaps not as good as I hoped, but was not cold or something.
Next to the bus station, friendly staff and a comfy room. Also appreciated the late check out at 1PM or even 2PM was possible.

The only problem was the temperature. Even during the day the room was very cold. However, the blankets were warm enough.
Very good hotel just right next to bus terminal so the location is unbeatable. Clean room with a hot shower. Perfect place to stay if you are crossing to Ecuador or simply visiting Las Lajas Sanctuary.

Sometimes it was a bit noisy (but that's everywhere in Colombia).

It would be nice to be able to have a cup of coffee in the morning in the hotel.
This hotel is perfect if you're travelling by road. We stopped here for one night on our way to Ecuador, it was very practical as it is only a couple of minutes walk from the bus terminal. The staff was kind enough to wait for us as we reached at night (with a two hour delay). The room was very clean and tidy, the shower had hot water and the bed was comfortable.

Area is kind of sketchy. People in this town are kind but there are some people that will take advantage of you.
Hot shower!! The bus station is across the street. A few restaurants around the corner.
