Everything is more than perfect. It's nice, clean, cosy, well equipped, good location and all this at a very fair price. You can book a tasty breakfast with eggs, fruits , coffee, juice etc. for a price, which at other places you pay for a cup of coffee..... But the best and the most important are the people there. I had a medical problem and they were really helpful at all times. They provided me with blankets and cushion and were really touched.

There was no hot water, but it was hot outside so it was no problem.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were patient with our awful Spanish and were happy to give us detailed recommendations on where to go, how to get there, etc. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. It is conveniently located in walking distance of the coast, coffee shops and restaurants.

Frendly and helpful people who work in the reception. Great location- close to the beach and to Parque de los novios ( a lot of restaurants, good vibes). We are very satisfied and in situation that we go back again to Santa Marta, we will rebook. They cleaned room every day and brought new towels. Breakfast isn't included, but we reccomend ( eggs and arepa, fruits, cofee/tee, juice).

I had asked beforehand for a quiet room but the first room was incredibly noisy

My first room was very noisy so the next morning I complained and Yari went out of her way to find me another room which was perfect and very quiet

The shower is more or less cold.

This is a simple hotel, but very well run. It is clean, the bed is comfortable, A/C works well, good location. Inexpensive breakfast. The staff are outstanding. Friendly and helpful. I became very ill during my stay, (nothing to do with the hotel). They assisted me, and took a genuine interest in my wellbeing.

Ideal comfortable hotel and very good value. Special mention for the staff who were wonderful. Helpful, patient with my lack of Spanish and always had a smile for me :) I used this place as a base to recharge after exploring the region and trekking and they stored my luggage which was great. I also want to disagree with some reviews that say it is in an unsafe area - it is not. The streets there are quiet at night but so is the whole city away from the bar/restaurant area, maybe 5 mins walk away. I had no problems and it never felt unsafe to me. Good wifi, clean rooms, nice breakfast, this place was ideal and I’ll stay there again if I return to Santa Marta.

Minor points: No hand towel. Soap dispenser didn’t work but they gave us 3 bars of soap very quickly. Needed 2 pillows. Only had one. No safe.

Very clean and tidy. Decent location near seafront etc. Away from all the noise. Street outside was a bit untidy but 99% of Santa Marta is the same unfortunately. Staff were lovely. Polite friendly and very helpful. Allowed us early check in which was nice. Great Aircon.

Great for a price, in a good locarion, clean, nice staff, spacious room, electric sockets near bed (no wardrobe, though), frige, little table. A very good exito supermarket in about 7 minute walk, the atrractions like cathedral, marina, museo d'oro in a short walk. Place where you could get a good rest after a day of intensive touring. Breakfast not included, but cheap, worth taking.

The pillow are not very soft,. The bathroom is kind of small and maybe they can add a shelve in the bathroom so you can place your things there (toothpaste, body lotion, hair cream, etc)

The staff is very friendly. One night of our stay we decided to book a cabin in Tayrona beach and since the staff did not see us coming that night they got worried and they told us the next day that they were about to call us to check on us and make sure we were good. That was a nice gesture of them.

There were a few things I didn't like but the staff was able to correct them, so no complaints with that because they were very open to make everything as right as possible. However there were two things that the bathroom had that just bothered me. One was that there was no shower curtain for the shower which was very weird. So when I showered the water went all over the bathroom floor. The manager told me that the rooms are fairly new and newly renovated but who remodels a bathroom and doesn't think to install a shower curtain? This should have been there once the bathroom was finished. The other thing was the use of a toilet paper wheel dispenser (like you find in malls, schools, or airports) with the super hard, one-ply paper was a big disappointment. Had to go to a store nearby to buy a soft roll because that paper wasn't great. The dispenser was also places on the wall above the toilet instead of the wall in front of the toilet which made using it very awkward. Again like with the shower curtain, who thinks of these things and thinks that was a good idea for a location? Finally, and this had to be mentioned separately, is the location of the hotel. As other reviews mentioned, during the day, the location is great as it is only four blocks from parque de los novios, with all its restaurants and bars and such and six blocks from the beach with all those attractions down there. HOWEVER, like many other reviews stated, at night, the location is HORRIBLE. The block the hotel is on, as well as the area it is in, gets deserted like a ghost town and the streets are quite dark. I didn't feel safe walking back to the hotel (my first night I arrived back close to 11pm and the other days between 6-8pm) even at early evening hours. And this is even returning from parque de los novios only four blocks away. Very sketchy. As a solo traveler, this is a definite consideration and one that would make me very hesitant to stay there again in a future trip.

Staff was super friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and just like what was shown in the pictures. Room had air conditioning which was definitely needed as Santa Marta is very hot during the day. Overall the hotel is clean and quiet during the day which allowed me to be able to relax.

More comfortable seating in the breakfast room

Staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. The rooms were clean, bathroom, and shower very clean. TV with English channels and streaming. Breakfast was prepared for each guest and served. I will say the benches in the breakfast room were uncomfortable. Did not make for relaxing over morning coffee. The coffee was wonderful and served immediately when you sat down. Location was very good, short walk to beach and restaurants, shops.

We had a room in the second floor. It was on the side of the street and had one window. The porter said that we won't hear the noise from the street, but we did. If you are a light sleeper, we suggest choosing a room without window.
