The window for some rooms is facing a wall

Casa colibri was my travel partner and my home for 13 days in Palomino and we are digital nomads and working for most of it. Most of the town has bad internet. We asked for desks to be put in the rooms and we got it. There isn’t really anywhere else in the area that has such solid internet and generator for when the electricity goes out. Power went out in the town mid meeting but there is a 30 minute battery back up for internet so it didn’t effect the meeting. The internet is so fast can watch movies or shows on your laptop. The rooms are modest but fulfilled all our needs. Just know there isn’t blankets, just sheets. Rooms are cleaned regularly too which is really helpful. Our favorite part of our stay is the friendly owner who was a perfect Palomino resource and also very kind and fun. The free breakfast is legendary and we loved the affordable lunch too.

Absolutely brilliant hostel! Room was great, air-con and WiFi strong, superb breakfast and great rooftop area for chilling. I stayed much longer than expected...largely thanks to the amiable and super-helpful host Jo who helped me with everything from booking buses online to changing money, and all done so willingly - a real gem. Kiki the 3-legged cat is pretty cool too! Can't recommend this place highly enough - check it out!

Casa Colibri Palomino is a wonderful place. The rooms are very clean, and there are several large common spaces. Breakfast was delicious. It is well located close to many cafes and restaurants, and a short walk to the beach. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. Thanks for a great stay!

Only the door locks were hard to use and when I got the hang on it, I checked out.

Nice hotel with and excellent location, right in along the main street. But still quiet to sleep. Really good wifi connection and delicious breakfast. Host helped me with booking a tour and with some other questions. Higly recommend to stay here. Thank you! 😊

Far away from the noise and close to the principal street, colibrí for me is in the perfect corner, small shop in the opposite corner good for beers with music live sometimes good vibe. Keki the cat is the best in the world she is beautiful and if you leave the door open you probably gonna have come cat-company. Joaquin is a very good hostess. I felt at home.

Everything! Joe was the most helpful owner/operator we have found after 3 weeks of backpacking Colombia. He speaks 5 languages and was extremely helpful in helping us organize tubing or travel or contacting friends in Europe to recommend kite boarding places for us. Free breakfast was very very good.

The room was spacious and the breakfast delicious (eggs, fruits, pancake and more). There is free coffee and tea all day and you can fill up your water bottle as well. The patio where they serve breakfast is cute and there is a large terrace with hammocks on the first floor. The location is great - less than 10 minutes walk from the beach and because of that calm at night. The owner is super helpful and speaks several languages. And to top it up, they have an adorable cuddly cat. They have a generator, so there are no issues in case of power cuts. And the wifi also worked very well. I would definitely recommend it.

Quiet property, with separate patio to hang out. Great for travelers who wants to escape backpacker’s hype and able to sleep at night. Breakfast they are serving is great! The host is very knowledgeable and helpful! The hostel is located 12 min from the beach and 5 min from the bus stop to Tyron’s park (45 min bus ride) and Santa Martha (1 h 45 min). Which is very convenient for the day trips!

He helped us a lot in organizing tours and advice regarding the ATM, various activities and other questions we had. He is really friendly and approachable. Also speaks english :) The room was comfortable. And there is a common terrace with a nice view and hammocks.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Casa Colibri and would highly recommend it. Hotel is well location, 15min easy walk from the beach and away from loud music. Our room was basic but it had everything we needed, it was clean and well organised. Staff at the hotel was very welcoming and helpful, they stored out bags and provided us with all the information needed. Breakfast was delicious.

Our plans had changed suddenly and we needed a place to stay. We stayed here for one night and it was very good. Value for money is very good. Highlight is the breakfast. It was actually one of the best we got even though we stayed also in much more expensive places.

Fantastic hostel! Originally had a 2 night booking and extended our stay to 4 nights. Such a great value. On the main road, a short walk to the beach. The best breakfast provided. They also serve lunch on certain days that was wonderful as well. Very clean and the staff and owner were friendly. The WiFi was top notch. The power went out in Palomino and there was no break in WiFi connection. Also the hostel has a generator so the power outage did not affect the guests. Water and coffee available all day. Truly a great place!!

My partner had a lovely stay at Casa Colibri. The location is excellent - right on Main Street about a 15 minute walk from the beach. The owner is very nice and made us immediately feel welcome. The free breakfast is amazing and there's free coffee and tea all day. As digital nomads, we also valued the speedy Starlink internet connection. I definitely recommend staying here! :)
