Our stay at Villa Margarita was the best we’ve had in Colombia. The house itself is stunning, and is set in a beautiful garden. The whole property is extremely clean and comfortable. What was especially amazing was the welcome and help we received from the staff team. The generosity and kindness we were shown was really special, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and heart warming!

The moment we walked through the door we felt at home! The staff were all so lovely, greeting us, helping us navigate the area - and even a bonus Colombian history lesson over breakfast! The garden space was really spacious and beautiful with plenty of hammocks, and the pool/jacuzzi was great for cooling down. Breakfasts were varied and delicious! We came for Barranquilla and had a great time in town, but were very grateful to return to the oasis of Villa Margarita every day. It was easy to get into Barranquilla, a bus from down the road or taxi for 30.000 to 50.000. There were also some delicious restaurants- Fratelli d'Italia for incredible pizza and El Rustico for lovely local food. We didn't want to leave!
