The dome we stayed in with our private jacuzzi was lovely, lovely terrace overlooking the mountains, I booked it for me and my partners anniversary. Good food, the staff are friendly and went above and beyond to cater for all my extra requests. Muchos gracias!

Loved everything.

We truly loved everything about this hotel. Erica, Nacho and her family are wonderful. They were very welcoming and helped coordinate activities such as a motorcycle tour around town, and a bird walk with an amazing guide during which we saw more than 60 types of birds in a few hours without even leaving the property. Our room was very comfortable, and sitting in the hot tub listening the birds and monkeys was the dreamiest way to start and end each day. The food was excellent and the views from the dining room spectacular. What a perfect place to slow down and soak up the beauty of this area.

A few additions to the room would've greatly enhanced the experience such as a bathroom door, furniture or a table to place our belongings, and a lamp to use instead of the bright overhead light. The hot tub also did not heat up well or quickly. Additionally, the room became hot in the day due to no a/c. However, this was not much of a problem for us because we left in the morning and it cooled down to a comfortable temperature at night.

We stayed for two nights in the deluxe double room with balcony. It had an incredible view with many bird sightings. Our favorite part was laying on the hammock before sunrise to soak in the environment. The staff were extremely helpful and communicative. The room was clean, but it did not get cleaned the second day. The food was good - we had dinner there one night and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

Great Staff! It’s a vett tranquil place that offers rest in a natural environment. Wonderful to have a private jacuzzi in the room. The food they serve is excellent and not pricey.

I was totally satisfied with everything except the sand fleas/flies that attacked my bare legs about half way down the mountain hike.

I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I was suffering a little from gastrointestinal problems when I arrived and the wonderful cook prepared soups and foods I could eat and enjoy. The hot tub helped me feel better too. I was in Colombia to see the birds and I loved sitting in the yard eating my breakfast as the sun came up and watching the many species of tropical birds who visited every morning. I saw about 40 species during breakfast alone. A day hike back down the mountain was special. Hiking down a mountain can be more stressful to muscles than uphill and this hike was not easy but I am a fit 76 and just took my time. The host set my Google map program to take me through varied and wonderful trails with lots of birds. The trail took me back to Minca and a wonderful waterfall/swimming park where I soaked my poor legs that had suffered from a nasty attack by sand flies I had not prepared for. (Must have bug repelant for that hike but I had no bug problems around the host property.) I took a mototaxi back up which is not for the faint of heart. It was fun though. I highly recommend this place for nature lovers/birders.

Food was great (breakfast and dinner), coffee was delicious, and the staff were lovely. The view is unbeatable! The road to reach the property is a but long and bumpy- we hired a 4x4 to drive us from the main road which made it super easy.

Erika has created a magical space that invites you to breathe in all the nature and actually feel your body relax. We spent the afternoon in the outdoor bathtub watching a rain storm come in and then the sun come back out - it was perfection. I will be returning, especially as she really goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need. Also, make sure to ask her about the mirador!!

This was a great location for remote workers. They have the fastest internet in the area due to the high altitude location, they receive a good signal from the satellite wifi. The view was amazing. The family, cooked professionally prepared meals. Even with the remote location, they receive fresh ingredients weekly while other hotels in the area receive ingredients with less frequency. I really recommend this stay to anyone who wants a chill private experience!

Everything was absolutely wonderful, we had an incredible time and would recommend to everybody.

We had the most amazing stay here. Everything was faultless. Great food, lovely people, comfortable rooms and an absolutely breathtaking setting. The jacuzzi on the balcony was amazing! I also had to work remotely for several hours during our stay and the WiFi was the best we have experienced in Colombia. Thank you so much to Erika and everyone at Mirador Aires for everything you did for us during our stay. We also did the birdwatching tour with Marcos, who was unbelievably knowledgeable about birds and the local wildlife, and we would thoroughly recommend it.

Be prepared for a bumpy jeep ride / perilous mototaxi ride! Part of the fun :-)

This was by far the best place we stayed in Colombia! We absolutely loved the room (jacuzzi was a plus!) and the incredible views of the surrounding mountains. The viewing platform 5mins walk away was the best spot for a 360° mountain sunset! Erica was an absolutely fantastic host, she was really communicative and helped us with transport and local activities. We loved the dogs! Food was also delicious.

Nothing to complain about

We have had an exceptional stay in the dome hut. The place is remotely located, only to be reached by 4x4 or mototaxi, but this is also what makes it special. We enjoyed a jacuzzi under the starry sky only to be followed by a bonfire - all right in front of our dome hut. The sun rises right in front as well - no need even to get up to enjoy it right from the comfy bed. This place is a hidden gem and abaolutely marvelous. The pictures speak for itself.

Small establishment, helpful staff; cooked a hearty pre-dawn breakfast so I could go birding early. Ask for Marco who may not know English but sure knows calls and songs of birds, including a dozen Santa Marta endemics we saw during motorbike ride up nearby Cerro Kennedy.

Erica was a fantastic host! The place was comfortable, beautiful and away from other tourists. The moto-taxi ride to the location isn’t the most comfortable and definitely only works with one bag/backpack. The views are incredible!
