A really exquisitely restored old Quito house - far more beautiful than the pictures do justice - right in the heart of the Old City, with huge rooms, comfy beds, and wonderful, super friendly and helpful hosts. Felt safe at all times. The owners made restaurant recommendations at our behest and both were superb. Bed was very comfortable and enormous. They even have a wine room with decent bottles sold with almost no mark up. Why would anyone choose to stay anywhere else in Quito!

Nothing. It is disappointing and needlessly risk averse for western tourists to stay away from Quito given the troubles have mainly been in very different areas to Quito,

Great boutique hotel right in the historic centre. Fabulous location close to all the main attractions, great views of the city, generous breakfast. Very warm, welcoming staff who were all incredibly helpful. If you are visiting Quito then look no further - this is the only place to stay.

The location is excellent (5 min walk to the ferry) if you need to catch an early morning ferry. The kitchen is also really nice to have.

Kitchen was excellent, the room was nice, I heard that you could get some pieces of laundry done for free but can't comfirm.

The hostel is across from a soccer stadium so expect loud music and noise, this would be an issue if you are light sleeper.

They accepted to cancel my second reservation without charges.

BE AWARE: The booking.com fee was charged extra to us, which is not indicated anywhere in the reservation and which is the first time with a booking.com reservation (always included in the price given by the site). Beds not comfortable. Often no-one at the reception, including after rung the bell many times and waited 20 minutes. Poor quality of construction.
