The home-like atmosphere was felt through our whole stay. It had a quiet atmosphere, a really well equipped and amazing kitchen. They had about everything you could need. Even olive oil and a lot of spices were present. The breakfast is also plenty since it is buffet style. Staff were always helpful. The 10 bed dorm was spacious enough, never felt too crowded. The lockers were big enough to put big and small backpacks in. Overall it felt really clean and there were plenty communal spaces to sit. Also had a great location inside the city. Simply put, this was the best hostel in our 6 months travel so far!

Sunrise El Paredón

Very nice place with a beautiful garden and relaxed swimming pool (you need it in El Paredon). The garden has tables and hammocks where you can relax. The host Simone is very kind and helpful and brought us coffee and fresh mangos.

The house itself is, as most places in El Paredon are, partially open which means that there are quite some insects. Fortunately there are mosquito nets. Also there are fans but at night it is still very hot.

This is a very nice place to stay in Antigua, just about 10 minutes from the main plaza. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay!

Spacious and spotless room and bathroom. Nice terrace with cool breeze. Super close to airport and Airport transfer was great. Toiletries provided so no need to open my suitcase.

Room was very hot, even with both windows open and the fan on full, no cool air circulated and it was very hard to sleep. Then of course the noise of planes from the nearby airport which doesn't seem to close, but that's not the host's fault. No food options anywhere in the area, you need to byo or order Uber eats. I wasn't given any info about breakfast, but when I came down for my airport tfr, I asked about coffee and the girl made me a quick meal.

Completely soulles, windows facing in the hallway (no fresh air), everything constracted with plywood, inagine a big space and then constructing rooms and toilets with plywood. I really cannot understand why people are going crazy with this hostel, it was averate at best. Also the neighborhoud, oh boy, 20 policemen all day right out of the door, if you like police states and you feel “safe” like this, then this is your place.

Have fan thing but no AC. Shower takes 10 mins to get hot and bad pressure. Wi-Fi was bad (basically didn’t work) in the room.

The staff was not helpful. The room was not clean, very small and super, super hot. It was hard to sleep. There's a sign in the lobby that says they that they offer breakfast and have a pool, neither of those statements are true.

The bed had been made up with very dirty sheets ( smelt of dead skin and had dust and hairs inside). When I asked if they could be changed they were replaced with threadbare sheets with holes. There wasn't any real apology which left a bad taste. The floor was really dirty and made my feet black, so I asked if they could clean it on the second day. They replaced the sheets with nice new clean ones which made a big difference. I'm not sure if I booked too much at the last minute for them to have prepared the room properly, as I can see other people have left positive reviews, but my personal experience wasn't great.
