Positive section of review
The hotel is located conveniently in the centre of Leiden. Train station and all highlights are located within about 10 minute walk. The staff is superb, extremely friendly and helpful. Unlike a lot of other properties in Leiden that are available on Booking.com this one actually has someone at the desk 24/7. The breakfast is quite extensive with fresh bread and croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurt, coffee, tea: everything to start a good working or vacation day. I also appreciated the water boiler with a selection of teas and a comfortable desk and chair.

Negative section of review
Out of the control of the hotel is the fact that there are terraces nearby, so the sound coming from outside is accordingly on a nice spring evening. Though the building is old, clear effort was made to insulate the windows. In the end, it was nothing that a pair of earplugs could not solve. Rooms in the back would surely have been quieter as well. Wifi was a bit slow, but nothing serious.

The hotel rooms requires reparation as the bathroom door was not closing properly. The windows were not sound proof enough. In addition the mattresses require immediate change. I visited the same hotel in 2019 when it was good. Location is at the end South East part of Amsterdam. Not much facilites except a petrol station. Breakfast had limited option with croissants, bread, jam and some cold sausages. Not worth 18 euro.

Room, Beds, Mattresses, airconditioning, room telephone ( not working). Breakfast choice were limited and in addition the parking. On their website it says parking is free between Monday - Friday but they didn't mention that if you book through Booking.com then your parking is paid. Not free at all. So this was misinformation.

It was one of the most clean apartments I’ve ever stayed in. The host was very kind and nice. It’s not far away from the center of the city. It is near the Vondelpark. The stop of the airport bus is about 10 minutes walk away.

The location was excellent for transport links. Close to trains, metro and tram stops. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable. Reception and bar areas were lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The staff was very friendly. I also like the "trust-bar" very much: you can take the drinks you like, write it down and pay them at the end of your stay - all based on trust. Breakfast included fruits.

For me, the mattress was way too soft. Furthermore, there was only one side-table at the double bed, which was inconvenient. Breakfast was basic, with weak coffee.

Very well located for public transport. Room was fine, although I would have likes some more hangers and a logical place to put two suitcases. Breakfast was good. Friendly staff.

I told reception to give us just a few extra towels in the morning, because we needed to rest during the day, as I was working at night and the cleaning service came into the room while we were sleeping.

Communication with host. Did not usually answer in a timely way. Had made arrangement to get key and check in, but waited a half hour after apointed time before we found a cleaner sho told us where to find him. He was busy cleaning and did not come to see us.
