Great place to stay really quiet and short walking distance to the beach, restaurant and supermarket. Very comfortable spacious warm and very clean rooms. Only a five minute drive to to Kaikoura main street. Would recommend staying there again.

The location is great, the older style charm and size of rooms appealing and the staff were very good to deal with. The complimentary pre-dinner wine in the lounge and the opportunity to meet other guests was also enjoyable

A drawback of this older building is that there isn’t sound insulation - the sound of water pipes as neighbouring guests turned taps on and off, of toilets flushing and people moving around isn’t ideal

Brilliant set up. Room was very comfy and well appointed. It was a great base for our short stay at Tekapo.

Never received the message giving us the instructions on how to access the property. With the absence of a face to face reception we were a little confused on how to proceed. We weren't the only ones, other guests found the same in rooms around us. Once we called the number in the email though the person was very helpful.

The reception lady was very nice she showed us around. It is was you pay for.

Lack of communication noone informed us of the road closure during the day that we wasted a whole day in the room and had to rearrange some of our bookings because they wouldn't let us out due to the roadworks. Noone cleaned our room when we left the sign on the door. Arrived back 3pm and noone had cleaned it so hadnto go down and ask for more. Coffee. Towels arrived at 4pm. The guy at reception when we went to checkout didn't even care. We def won't be staying there again.
